    >ADULTS 25-54

Pity some people don’t seem to acknowledge this here. I must sound crazy to people when I’m saying these shows are doing very well, even when their 18-49 isn’t amazing, but their 25-54 is actually quite decent.

Regardless, Ghost Hunters is one of the networks highest rated shows. And will be around for years to come.

  • scifi

Yeah, reality crap is doing very well, as Alphas and Warehouse dying.

Btw, @The End, you didn’t see any Alphas or Warehouse 25-54 ratings info to say they are ok. Total viewers is more than just 18-54 demo.

  • cimmer

Oh Syfy has always done well with the 25-54 but it used to be that Syfy would cancel shows for doing well in that demo but not in the coveted 18-49. Now I think Syfy has just accepted they’re not ‘cool’ and they’re willing to live with that as long the money keeps rolling in from the old folks. lol

On the flip side though, I think that’s why Syfy shows so many kind of crappy shows and doesn’t really try to put out a Walking Dead or another BSG, something with higher quality like FX and AMC try that does really well with the 18-49, because, well, they don’t have to, their line up is working for them. IMHO that’s got something to do with it.

What happened to the over 54 yr. old crowd?? I’m 58, and would die before missing this show!!!!

  • The End

    @scifi

Yes I have. And anyone else can too with access to Nielsen numbers like Robert and Bill. They don’t post them here because they’re not important to 95 percent of networks so there’s no point.

Unless you’re stalking me, you have no idea what I can and can not do, and what I can and can not see. So don’t claim too.

Ratings are up coz they got rid of KW , and i think GHI did as well, got sick of her attitude, just watch last years final couple episodes

  • deborah

Hopefully, these ratings will lead to a season NINE for the series in 2013. I read it wasn’t it mentioned during Sy Fy’s upfronts a couple months ago.

“Lee” GH is no better or worse than it was before due to KW’s leaving because she was moved to GH International!!!
I guess you haven’t been watching for awhile huh?
I have watched this show from the beginning until I could not hear what the crew was hearing due to all the background noise, ( guess they would call it music. I also found it difficult to see much of anything due to all of the camera lights creating blur and blinding light. By the time Jason got up off of the first chair or bed he could relax on the noise or shadow they heard was gone and unfortunately the recorders didn’t pick up a thing.
Why don’t you use the more updated equipment like the similar shows use. Get rid of all the sound and extra camera men and lighting…it is supposed to be dark anyway. Try using hand held cameras and other smaller eauipment so we can see what you say you do? I also am 58 yrs old. I think polling is not adequate these days. Bump it up gang and you will have a more exciting show. Amy! you are silly for doing this dangerous job while you are pregnant. 4 shame!
