   Well kudos to CNN for a good performance yesterday…and boy did they need a win after a miserable few years.

   MTV are idiots for airing a repeat of the awards instead of new episodes of Snooki & JWOWWW and a new episode of Awkward. They would have had a fantastic lead in with the VMA’s and the ratings could have seen a great rise in both shows. But no, they decide to take a week off to air a repeat of the VMA’s right after the live showing and then ANOTHER repeat of it at midnight.

   I missed my Awkward, man. Is it next week yet?

   Wow, Sullivan & Son pulls a 1.0 against the DNC and the repeat of the VMA’s. It deff deserved that renewal.

    I didnt understand why they even aired the VMA’s on Thursday anyway? MTV usually airs it on Sunday. They switched the night to Thursday. That should’ve given Awkward a lead in. Another screw up for MTV.

    The Mentalist is doing pretty good for TNT lately. Increased exposure seems paying off.

    Never ceases to amaze me how nth time repeat airings of TBBT still get low 1s and top cable charts. Can’t wait for the new season!

    Well, MTV self-inflicted this – nobody forced them to air awards at Thursday.

    More than 50% down in MTV key demo 12-34 too:
    2012 = 5.3 P12-34
    2011 = 10.8 P12-34

    They’ve aired the VMA’s on Thursday night several times throughout the years, though…

    Yea, Sullivan and Son! I LOVE that show. One of the best ensemble casts of TV, and some of the best writing.

    I couldn’t agree with you more..the VMAs would have been a great lead into Awkward and may have given it the opportunity to reach more people who might not know about the series or watch on a regular basis. In my opinion..having the week off will hurt AWKWARD. Why MTV wouldn’t use this opportunity to self promote other shows on the network is beyond me.

    Why would the VMA airing on a Thursday as opposed to a Sunday contribute to such a significant drop?
