@KEVIN: >>> WHERE ARE THE RATINGS FOR REDEYE????? <<<
Where have YOU been? Ratings from Midnight to 6AM are not posted here.
Wow Msnbc demo numbers are impressive and righties why isn’t Fake news getting a pre-election bump.
REPRINT FROM FRIDAY’S RATINGS, POSTED AFTER MONDAY BOARD IS OPENED-UP
Please allow me to let you in on a little secret:
For the most part, the mainstream media have been running with the latest poll numbers, showing Obama leading Romney by a little more now that the conventions are over. I said the polls won’t really count until after the four televised debates.
NO ONE has been beating the drum more about the shifting polls than Karl Rove, Fox News analyst who was one of GWB’s closest advisors. Seems that every night he’s on either Hannity or Greta announcing that Obama is leading Romney in another poll. Some WOULD think that the poll results seem to make Rove happy.
Nothing is further from the truth. If you’re candidate is slipping in the polls, there’s nothing better than spreading the news around to better mobilize your troops, aka campaign workers, but the task is to REALLY get those Republicans, Tea Party members, independent and undeclared voters to the election polls on November 6th. It is also a call for more campaign money is needed to overcome the odds. Some people, who are faced with no strong opinion about either major candidate, will vote for the underdog. Now, at this particular time, Romney is the underdog.
As a candidate, if being behind your opponent in current polls saddens you, especially facing an incumbent with a less-than-stellar record, if you don’t start out the next day with more determination than ever to win, you don’t belong in politics. (Nice, run-on sentence, wouldn’t you say?)
So, Rove, just like any other good campaign leader, is beating the drum to get the party faithful and the undecideds, particularly the candidate, off of their a$$es and work even harder to win.
Even if you have a 30-point lead, NEVER get complacent! Because, you begin to slacker off and take things for granted.
I’ve been in and out of politics and radio journalism covering politics long enough to know what I’m saying. If you disagree, then it’s your right.
Wow! Rachel beating Hannity and Lawrence beating Gretta in the demos! MSNBC has been pulling great numbers these past few days.

Before you and other MSNBC fans declare Fox News D.O.A. in the hospital, let's see if this 'streak' lasts another day.

NY State Supreme Court Judge Rules Twitter Must Produce Occupy Wall Street Protester’s Tweets or Face Contempt
Twitter Inc. has to turn over information about an Occupy Wall Street protester’s posts or face a fine, a judge ruled, giving the company three days to show it isn’t in contempt of court.
New York State Supreme Court Judge Matthew A. Sciarrino Jr. in Manhattan today said Twitter must produce the information by Sept. 14 or provide its earnings statements from the last two quarters so he can decide on a fine. The judge had asked Twitter to show why it wasn’t in contempt of court after refusing to produce information about Twitter posts by protester Malcolm Harris in response to a subpoena from Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr.
“I can’t put Twitter or the little blue bird in jail, so the only way to punish is monetarily,” Sciarrino said.

BTW: Fox News won the 25-54 Total Day & Prime Time Monday.
People seem to forget that MSNBC was competitive with FNC in the demo in the months before the election back in 2008 too. Yes, even Countdown beat TOF a few times in the demo 4 years ago, as did TRMS come-this-close to Hannity a few times after her show premiered. So actually this was to be expected. Maybe some folks just have short attention spans.
“HHS & IRS Release 18-Pages to Describe What a “Full-Time Employee” Is…”
“Use to be 40 Hour but Under ObamaCare It’s Now 30 Hours”
“One of the most-anticipated new federal regulations governing which companies will be required to provide health insurance under Obamacare has finally landed–with a thud.”
“In the latest indication of how complicated putting the Affordable Care Act into action will be, the Department of Health and Human Services and Internal Revenue Service issued 18-pages of regulations just to describe what a “full-time employee” is. Of note, to the Feds a full-time employee works an average of just 30 hours a week, not the normally accepted 40 hours.”
“The IRS rule is key because companies with more than 50 full-time employees must provide health insurance under Obamacare, or be fined. Business groups have been warning that small companies might try to replace full-time workers with part-time help to avoid being forced to offer health insurance in 2014, but the 30-hour full-time definition is likely to undermine those plans.”
****
OPINON: Outside of the BS, this ruling will bring hiring to a standstill and see hours worked too less then the 30-hour threshold.

Rise in Health-Care Premiums Outpacing Inflation, Wages
In other words, ObamaCare is a total failure. I’m still waiting for my $2500 check that Obama promised.
“U.S. health insurance premiums have climbed faster than wages and inflation this year, and look poised to accelerate in 2013, adding to voter concerns about soaring healthcare costs ahead of November elections for the White House and Congress.”
“A study released on Tuesday showed that premiums for employer-sponsored health plans, which cover about 149 million Americans, grew a modest 4 percent to $15,745 in 2012. It was a substantially slower rate of growth than in past years, including 2011, when premiums jumped 9 percent.”
“But the study’s authors at the nonpartisan Kaiser Family Foundation and the Health Research and Educational Trust, said higher costs still took a bigger bite from the income of middle-class employees, whose wages advanced only 1.7 percent, as employers shifted more healthcare costs to their workers.”
“About 61 percent of companies offer health benefits to their workers. But researchers found that workers at lower-wage companies pay $1,000 a year more for family coverage than workers at higher-wage companies, even though employers with large numbers of lower-wage workers pay less for the coverage they provide.”
“Lower-wage businesses are also more likely to offer plans with deductibles amounting to $1,000 a year or more.”
“Data also showed a 26 percent jump in the number of young adults receiving healthcare benefits on parental plans under healthcare reform, which extends childhood coverage to age 26.”
“There are now 2.9 million young adults on their parents’ plans, up from 2.3 million in 2011, the study said.”

Report: Six to nine percent of UT inmates are illegal aliens
Utah’s incarcerated illegal-immigrant population averaged between 6 percent and 9 percent of the entire prison and jail population over a nine-year span, according to a new report unveiled at a state commission meeting Monday.
Charlie Morgan, a sociology professor at Ohio University, presented the report through Skype to the Utah Commission on Immigration and Migration. He said he is in the process of submitting his study for publication in the journal Criminology and Public Policy at Florida State University.
The presentation came as a result of the commission’s effort to gather data about illegal immigration and follow its charge to guide the Legislature on proposed bills related to the subject.
Morgan, a former professor of sociology at Brigham Young University, said he’d already been working on the report for three years when he was asked by the commission to present his findings.
‘It seemed like it would be easy,’ Morgan said. ‘But the more I got into it, the more difficult the question had become.’
According to the 20-page report, there were 14,000 people in county jails and state prisons. In that number, he also included people whose criminal charge stemmed from Utah courts but who were serving time in a federal prison outside the state.
He also singled out the Utah County Jail, which works under a contract with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to house illegal immigrants.
In the report, Morgan discovered there was an average of 195 illegal immigrants being held in the jail on an annual basis. On average, 40 of those were being held on a criminal charges.
The report also includes data from the Weber County Jail, despite that facility losing its contract last year with the federal government to be reimbursed for housing illegal immigrants.
That jail, which until that point averaged housing 62 detainees annually, lost the contract after an investigation revealed it wasn’t in compliance with federal standards.
With the Pew Hispanic Center estimating Utah’s illegal immigration population at 110,000, Morgan’s report also concluded there wasn’t a correlation between illegal-immigration trends and crime statistics that some have pinned on that group.
Because the Pew Hispanic Center also found Latinos account for 81 percent of all illegal immigration nationally, Morgan looked at that data specifically in his report.
In his analysis, he noted there was an increase of about 300 Latinos per 10,000 Utahns in 1978 to more than 1,100 Latinos per 10,000 Utahns in 2008.
In that ratio, Morgan found the violent-crime rate decreased from 272 crimes per 100,000 Utahns in 1978 to 224 crimes per 100,000 Utahns in 2008.
‘We can therefore presume that the rise in Hispanics does not coincide with a rise in violent crimes,’ Morgan wrote in the report. ‘In other words, Utahns are safer now than they ever have been in the past three decades.’

*US ‘condemns efforts by misguided individuals to hurt religious feelings of Muslims’…
The U.S. embassy in Cairo released the following statement:
The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims – as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions. Today, the 11th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States, Americans are honoring our patriots and those who serve our nation as the fitting response to the enemies of democracy. Respect for religious beliefs is a cornerstone of American democracy. We firmly reject the actions by those who abuse the universal right of free speech to hurt the religious beliefs of others
The statement comes after a mob of Egyptians climbed the walls of the embassy and tore down the American flag. Reuters reports:
