Parenthood is one of this season's early premieres, returning for its fourth season tonight. Of course, it's been off the air for a while with its third season finishing up on February 28, 2012. It premiered early for its third season last year too, on September 13, 2011. Last year's premiere drew a 2.2 adults 18-49 rating (out of lead-in America's Got Talent, which drew a 3.8 adults 18-49 rating). That 2.2 tied a season high for the show which was pretty consistent through most of its third season. It did dip as low as a 1.6 adults 18-49 rating a couple of times in the winter but its finale drew a 1.9 adults 18-49 rating.
How will it do tonight? It's lead-in is the second episode of The New Normal premiering in its regular time slot.

Based on half hrs #s of the voice today from 8-9, i dont think it will hit 4.0 tomorrow too. But i could be wrong. It has no competition tonight.
2.6-2.8 for Go On and 2.4-2.6 for TNN.
But with the competition only from weakening SYTYCD, i wont be surprised if Go On hit 3.0.
As for Parenthood, i think it’s another 2.2.
i guess a 1.8. hate to be cynical. just trying ot be rational and not let my love for this show cloud my judgement. NBC should have also kept awake. that was the best show on tv besides justified and breaking bad. dexter sucks now

With it following the crappy New Normal show tonite – most likely a 1.7-1.8 at best – Darn It! Needs a Better lead in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
