MONDAY’S SEASON THREE PREMIERE OF "THE TALK" UP +28% FROM LAST YEAR IN THE METERED MARKETS
The Makeup-Free Premiere Matches its All-Time Metered Market High with a 2.3 Household rating
The third season premiere of THE TALK delivered a 2.3 household rating in Nielsen’s 56 local metered markets, a +28% increase from last year’s premiere and matching its all-time high in the metered markets.
Editor's Note: Due to live coverage of U.S. Open Men’s Final, Monday’s episode of THE TALK aired at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, Sept. 11 in the Pacific markets. The final weighted average for this telecast includes the regular airing on Monday in Eastern, Central and Mountain markets as well as the Tuesday 10:00 AM airing in Pacific markets.
Metered markets where CBS Owned Stations posted their biggest year-to-year gains include New York, up +50% (2.4/08 from 1.6/05); Chicago, up +108% (2.5/08 from 1.2/04); Philadelphia, +79% (2.5/08 from 1.4/04); Boston, up +250% (1.4/05 from 0.4/02); Detroit, up +69% (2.2/06 from 1.3/04); Miami, up +92% (2.5/07 from 1.3/04); and Denver, up +114% (1.5/07 from 0.7/03).
