The real question is how it will hold up after Grey’s Anatomy and POI begin their run. Having already watched the premiere I hope they get at least a 3.5. I am one of those fans that got completely disgusted with the direction of the show, the amateurish and inconsistent writing and the overall tone. But I was actually impressed tonight. It was well written, well balanced and more mature that it has ever been. Finn lovers will whine about his absence but I think the show introduced some really strong characters. And Kate Hudson was stellar. If they continue this way, this might just be their best season ever. As long as they get rid of that Unique person. He/she is the one character I could not get into. Still, this is going to be a tough season because of the competition at that time.

Marc Berman’s Major Market overnights have Glee down 15% vs. last year’s premiere on a HH rating basis.

I guess I’m one of the few who found the premiere to be very lacking and boring. I enjoyed the NYC scenes, I couldn’t bring myself to care about what was happening at the high school because of the new kids. Reusing plot lines already with the puckerman brother. I didn’t like the back and forth because when i finally found myself somewhat into a part they switch over again. A couple of the songs were horrible. On a scale from 1-10 it would only get a 3 from me. Yet since it was a premiere and i believe it should have a wow factor when coming in fresh and new, it gets a 2.

Stupid night to have Glee premiere. The AGT Finale was on and most people were probably watching that. I don’t have a DVR and while I was interested to see the new episode of Glee, I decided to watch the entire AGT finale instead.

    X-Factor: 3.1
    Glee: 3.3, 8.1 million viewers

Great for Glee, but not so good for X-Factor…

glee’s season 3 premiere was a 4.0 and this year was a 3.3 it went down A LOT and most of the people tuning in were to see if anything changed.. which it didn’t

I stopped watching Glee after the second season. The show got too cheesy and too many inconsistencies. Also, Rachel and Finn got too boring as a couple. It would have been a better storyline if the writers just kept them yearning for each other.
