    John A, the xfactor is a flop considering at all the high predictions and all the hype with Britney. ITS A FLOP.

  • The End

    @Hubert

    Personally I think the only ‘wars’ that occur between fans here are CW related. Lost track the number of times last season where virtually every ratings post here was populated by 100s of posts arguing over which CW show is the best, and random other things no one really cares about.

    I’m actually enjoying the quiet period here more because we can actually speak about ratings without there being a huge CW arguement going on in the background lol.

    @ ATK

    Who had them you guys? Maybe Fox’s expectations weren’t that high maybe their just satisfied with a 3.9 or maybe you have no idea what the word FLOP truly means? Hhhmmmm…..

  • Tony ^_^

    It’s going to be a tough season for FOX…

    Sundays: About the same.

    Mondays: “Bones” will fall further; “Mob Doctor” isn’t going to do well (unless it turns out to be a surprise hit).

    Tuesdays: “New Girl” will hold the block up at first. “Ben and Kate” and “The Mindy Project” might start out strong and then fall…

    Wednesdays: “X-Factor” goes lower.

    Thursdays: “X-Factor” goes lower; “Glee” falls.

    Fridays: “Touch” flops; “Fringe” does about the same/slightly lower for its final season.

    Im tired of all ‘The X Factor is a flop’ comments. If a scripted show had a 3.4 it be a huge success. Its ratings are low but a flop? No

    If scripted show can pay 75 million $(for Simon) and 15 million $(Britney) per season in this scripted show lead roles will be Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Robert Pattinson, Scarlett Johansson etc. Hell can hire even George Clooney and Tom Hanks. Get it.

  • Jon23812

    @ATK, a flop isn’t considered on high predictions/expectations, it’s considered on the ratings. X-Factor needs to be lower than a 1.0 to be a flop.

  • Brad

    The reason a lot of folks are saying it’s a flop is because Simon Cowell predicted it would premiere to “20 Million Viewers and CRUSH The Voice, because the audience dosen’t want to have to choose between the two”. Many others said it would get 15+ million viewers and a 5.0 – 6.0 in the demo. That’s the reason people are poking fun….becasue in the end the voice beat The X Factor and the huge ratings everyone predicted, just did not happen.

  • Daw Johnson

    X Factor was a flop in its premiere last season, and it was even worse this year.

    Adding Britney Spears got it a -1 rating.

    Standards and expectations are part of the “flop” classification. If Big Bang Theory returns with a 3.4, that would be a flop too.

  • CrimTV

    LOL I love it how everyone is using this expression; “The Voice will win the battle, but The X Factor will win the war”. Give me a break :)

  • John A

    Look at Fringe on fox. That is a flop but not X Factor. I mean Fox saw the ratings last season for x factor and might not had huge expectations.

  • TONY

    …Lost was such a bad show

  • Dan

    Exactly Brad thank you. I just can’t wait to see Simon’s meltdown lmao.

  • CrimTV

    @John A

    Fringe isn’t a flop cause there were no high expectations for it once it go into it’s 3rd or 4th seasons, I don’t think Fox predicted TXF would premiere a whole ratings point below last season when they knew Britney was gonna be a judge.

  • John A

    Everyone said x factor did terrible last year too yet it was renewed. I mean is it Fringe fans mocking X Factor?

  • Person of Interest – TV’S #1 NEW DRAMA

    How can a show that peaks with a 3.9 be considered a flop?

    FOX pay 90 million $ ONLY for Simon and Britney. What the hell you expect.

    Better get rid of this show and this two and pay this money for drama with Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. Come on……….

  • John A

    Fringe not a flop? It was falling below a 1.0 last season.

  • Victor

    Well, I think The Voice won this battle, but it won’t win the war. You see, takin’ away the Superbowl episode, X Factor beat the averages of The Voice last season.

    That’s because everybody stops watching The Voice after the Blind Auditions, The X Factor, in the other hand, only gets better with time.

  • CrimTV

    @John A

    Fringe has never fallen below a 1.0 rating?

    I don’t remember fringe second season demo (was 3+) but remember that fringe first season was 4+ in demo. X factor first season was …..

    And shoking news is that john noble takes 100 million$ per season so he beat simon and Britney(joke off course)

  • a

    @John Omg, Fringe’s budget probably doesnt come close to X factor. They spent millions on Simon, on Britney and on promotion. When you spend that much you expect good results. You expect at least a 4.0 average.
