Thanks, JayTN for the explanation. To me, since there is so much inconsistency in the schedule, the lead-in numbers have little value in determining the success or failure of a show. Maybe I’m oversimplifying it. steven m. burton, the poster above who pointed out that DOOL could be in trouble because the programming surrounding it doesn’t support viewership has a point. I believe that to be true in my market.

  • MBmomof3

Saw this tidbit thought you might want to check out:

Also, for those of us who didn’t appreciate Ingo Radermacher tweeting the “One Hospital to Kill” remark, I read that he has now conveniently backpedaled on that statement and now said he would call it “One Hospital you Can’t Kill”. Of course, he is now apparently recurring on GH. Funny.

David Fournier…we can agree to disagree, but it is very likely that if Chrisann had not responded to Richard the way she did, he would still be posting. You can disagree, that is fine. However, there are several people on this forum that I wish would leave, but I refrain from criticizing them in posts like Chrisann did.

Sorry if this upsets anyone, but in the past Chrisann has lamented alleged posters that have left due to harassment. How is that any different that what she herself has now done?

  • MBmomof3

I really try to respect poster’s rights to share their opinions freely. I agree to disagree. I’m sure there are posters who would be happy if I would stop posting. It can get ugly on this site at times, and I am no angel. I’m hoping Richard is just taking a break and will be back. Sometimes it’s good to step away from the computer. I try not to take sides and am really not. I think all of you add to the discussion. That’s what keeps me coming back.

Hope all is well with you Richard.

  • JayTN

    MBmomof3…I agree 100%.

Sometimes I think that people get caught up in their own opinions and either do not want to hear opposing viewpoints or can’t handle them. At the end of the day, Richard not watching or not liking GH is not going to get it canceled. Just like David watching it religiously isn’t necessarily going to save it. Some people on this board take personal offense if someone says something the least bit unflattering about “their” TV show. I do think that sometimes people should take a step back and focus. It is just a TV show, after all. Granted, it may be a TV show that brings a person enjoyment or entertainment, but virtually every TV show is going to get canceled at some point.

I don’t like it when people respond in a personal fashion with insults that go beyond a lively discussion. However, I think that people feel a certain type of “security” sitting behind their computer monitor. If David had said what he posted several weeks ago to my face or anyone else’s face, I would bet that 9 out of 10 people would have knocked him out. I try to give everyone a Get Out of Jail Free (or Do-over) Card. David cashed in his Get Out of Jail Free Card in that moment. I told him that if he wanted to continue our discussion he was going to have to get his comments toward me out of the gutter. If not, I would ignore any and all of his comments. Since then – to his credit – he has been largely civil. To me, at least. In turn, I have been civil towards him. That’s the way it works with me. If you’re nice to me, I try to be nice to you. If you are a jerk towards me, I will not go out of my way to be nice towards you. Get what you give, basically.

I would recommend that people not type anything that they would not want to say to someone’s face. It would probably make for a more civil board, but also cut down on the frequent dust ups that tend to occur.

  • Chrisann

I said nothing to anyone on here that I wouldn’t say to them in person. Richard did

talk down to people that he disagreed with. If me saying that to him caused him to leave I can’t and won’t be held responsible.

  • Chrisann

Jay. Just look how Richard responded to what I said to
That is how he responds? I won’t miss

his posts. I don’t mind his opinion. What I don’t appreciate is his offensive way he disagrees with others.

  • JayTN

Chrisann…I’m not going to get dragged into the middle of a he said/she said argument. However, I will only point out that Richard indicated that he would no longer be posting on this forum after a certain response from you. I will let people judge for themselves who is really to blame.

  • Chrisann Diaz

Jay, No dragging you into the middle of it. It was you that commented above that I had run off other posters so I am assuming you think I ran off Richard. If Richard found that offensive or harsh well than maybe I should have just left it alone but he says whatever he is thinking with no regards to how others will take his comments so…. But I tell you what…Richard if you are reading this….this is a gift from me to you. If you decide to come back and post (for some unkown reason people on here miss you) I will not comment again for ONE WHOLE MONTH!!! Seriously 30 days!! how can you pass that up??????!! I never meant to “run you off” but apparently I did. So for the posters that miss you PLEASE come back.
