Glee was adjusted down two tenths of a ratings point vs  the preliminary Thursday broadcast ratings. The X Factor was not adjusted from the fast national ratings, however earlier we reported that X Factor had been adjusted up a tenth in time zone adjusted fast nationals. Unfortunately, those numbers still included the NFL game preemption which was stripped out in the finals.

So X Factor and Glee both won the night. Many people can call X Factor a flop, but I think it held up well against the final of AGT.

• Andy

I’m so glad Glee is failing! Mainly because I hate its fans and Ryan Murphy. However, I still watch the show but want it to fail. It’s like this cocky friend you love to hate…

• leo

Love x factor and i hope de show up in the nexts weeks

• Andy

Plus, TVD’s repeat had a 0.4 rating against The X Factor. Awesome! The Next flopped really hard. Poor Joe Jonas…

• Billy

Don’t underestimate the fact that The Vampire Diaries will take viewers away from X Factor in a few weeks. They have the same young female audience as X Factor.

• Holly

Don’t underestimate the fact that The Vampire Diaries will take viewers away from X Factor in a few weeks.

Somehow I think originals of BBT and Men will have a much greater effect than Vampire Diaries.

Random question:

I can tell that each broadcast network has a different type of comedies, but I cannot really put the difference in words. Could someone try to do that?

Anyway, for me I like them as follows:

1. CBS- All great except Mike & Molly, which is OK
2. ABC- MF, LMS, and HE are my favorites on the network.
3. NBC (Whitney is great, though)
4. FOX (New Girl is the only OK one, and I still do not watch it).

Ok guys, next week at 10, again at 10(TBBT&TAHM are twice) CBS rerun PoI season finale “firewall”. One of the best cliffhangers from years and the best for last season. After that we start the quest with “The Contingency”:

This finding Finch quest is genius. Great work from writers. Where is Finch? Where is Finch? Where is Finch? The search start on Sept. 27 at 9/8c on CBS! No on drama have this quality and script and so entertaining the same time. Uniqueness of the show is what make it #1. I mean with so many ‘more of the same’ not only dramas, but sitcoms, reality, singing/talent/dancing competition shows etc. so hard to find something different.

Finch: It seems that nice young lady is impervious to your charms.
Reese: That nice young lady had a gun pointed at me under her desk.

Reese and Finch are the best. Period.

Good to see TVD geting a .4. It has not gotten a .4 all summer i dont ghink. The Next down to a .2. Its a good show i wonder why people are not watching it.

• Billy

I agree that TBBT and Men will have a greater effect, but if TBBT and Men take a big chunk out of X Factor and TVD takes a little chunk out of X Factor it will be missing a big chunk.

• Michael

Vampire Diaries fans are anxiously waiting for the new season to start already!

I know, it’s really silly to compare, but my goodness!!

The X Factor 3.1 10 8.28

The Next 0.2 1 0.66

With only a week’s worth of data and with only two networks airing original programming, I’m going to go out on a limb and say that I expect the ratings for all broadcast TV to be down this year by a couple of tenths of a point. Yes. Call me Crazy, but I’m crazy a la Crazy Gideon.

@Person of Interest

Is your last name Nolan?

• Person of Interest – TV’S #1 NEW DRAMA

I hope for poll agter 2 week for CBS “super thursday”. I think that TBBT premiere will hit 6.0 in demo.

• Stacey

Does anybody have the half hours for X Factor and Glee for the finals? I wouldn’t have thought the Milwaukee market would have had such an impact on Glee’s finals.

• adanskiiii

People STOP using the AGT Final as an excuse for the X factor! It went up against it’s FIRST hour where the ratings were really low. X Factor fans come up with an excuse OR just STOP making excuses for X factor

• 47th

Many people can call X Factor a flop, but I think it held up well against the final of AGT.

It did not. You see, The X-Factor was supposed to be the natural succesor to American Idol, and instead it’s got mediocre ratings.

It’s not a situation when they can feel safe saying ‘It hold up well against XX program’, as the X-Factor is supposed to crush anything on TV in the same timeslot. Last year had dissapointing ratings and this year the only option was to go up…but it hasn’t. In fact there is no hope it can keep these numbers when the real competition gets back in the coming weeks.

• Person of Interest – TV’S #1 NEW DRAMA

Don’t you see it? My last name obviously is – TV’S #1 NEW DRAMA(hehehhe)
Joke. Its Ivanov. Petar Ivanov.
Fox failing is not interesting topic for me… so thursday is the day (with 2 weeks PoI off) and want to talk for my favorite show insted of stuped factor.

Why you think all broadcast TV ratings will frop? Give us at least 2-3 reasons that is good topic for talk. I mean ecen CBS? They look like monsters and not only in my day.

• Michael

@Adanskiiiii, to be fair, talent reality show fans can also use the TV Fan Excuse Bingo!

It’s that time of the year, lol!
