The 2012 64th Annual Emmy Awards nominations are in.
Using my predicting, without predicting, method I use each year of simply choosing the previous year's winner (which is beginning to wobble a bit, but I'm sticking with it!) I am compelled to pick Melissa McCarthy (Mike & Molly) to once again win for Lead Actress In A Comedy Series.
In a double poll, here's your chance to tally who you think WILL win, and who you think SHOULD win.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus will probably win but it should be Amy Poehler for sure!

Everyone knows that Amy Poehlor should win. Even if you don’t agree, deep deep deep deep down you know I’m right!
Amy Poehler. Some time before P&R eventually ends. Or Tina Fey, but I’d prefer Amy win.
@Oscar. Poehler’s an acquired taste I haven’t obtained yet. So deep down inside I still think I’m not infected.
Tough competition. My vote goes to Amy Poehler, but I am afraid she will lose to one of the cable ladies. Nothing against the cable shows, but I think that in some cases, they are terribly over-rated. JLD is always a hoot, though.

Amy Poehler should obv win. But the fact Parks and Rec and Nick Offerman didn’t even get nominated (ridiculous) makes me worry. My bet is on Lena Dunham to take this one home (I like her, but I really didn’t like Girls)
Poehler deserves that Emmy but I feel like the voters are always against Parks & Rec. Assuming Julia Louis-Dreyfus will take home the Emmy, even though I’m not really a fan of her show. VEEP definitely seems to be more in the wheelhouse of the Emmy voters.
Zooey and Amy both do amazing jobs on their respective shows.
Honestly, Julia Louis Dreyfus will win. Edie Falco does not deserve to win at all. Tina Fey won’t win. Lena Dunham won’t win. Amy Poehler is truly my favorite and the best after watching all submission tapes. Also, Zooey Deschanel is my second choice. Julia would actually be my third.
Zooey Deschanel and Julia Louis-Dreyfus are definetively up for the win. Lena Dunham could pull off a surprise win tho, if her show sweeps the Emmys, and is the darkhorse here.
Both Tina Fey and Edie Falco have no momentum going right now and are hardly contenders. Melissa McCarthy won last year largely on the heels of Bridesmaids, and will not repeat it.
However, the one who really deserves it is Amy Poehler. An Emmy for her is completely overdue. She probably won’t win tho, mostly because P&R has little award strenght and actually has less chances than last year.
It’s who has the most friends in the business, that’s who wins.
Bill, cant you post a better photo….you lose in posting photos…I’d say a F+ is your very low grade, when you should have hundreds of options, like a collage of all noms would be the better way to go Bill….
