This is one of our "2012 Emmys, Who'll Win? Who Should?" posts, to see all our posts on the Emmy Awards click here.

The 2012 64th Annual Emmy Awards nominations are in.

Returning to my predicting, without predicting, method I use each year of simply choosing the previous year's winner (which is beginning to wobble a bit, but I'm sticking with it!) I am compelled to pick Mad Men to once again win for Outstanding Drama Series.

In a double poll, here's your chance to tally who you think WILL win, and who you think SHOULD win.

Feel free to explain.

The 2012 64th Annual Emmy Awards airs on ABC on September 23, 2012.

In my opinion, Homeland should AND will win. But The Good Wife is missing from that list, sadly (but, it’s good that’s it’s not, because i couldn’t be able to choose between Homeland and The Good Wife).

Mad Men and Breaking Bad were both completely shut out at the Creative Arts Emmys yesterday (9/15). They usually take home something there. So I have a feeling the race is much tighter than anyone is thinking. Before yesterday, I had Mad Men, Breaking Bad and Downton Abbey in the top huddled together with Homeland close behind and Game of Thrones and Boardwalk Empire as very unlikely. But now I’m thinking that Game of Thrones or Downton Abbey could easily pull an upset.

    @Tessa: why should it be?

  • Dan S

If Breaking Bad doesn’t win it’ll likely go to Homeland. I’ll be pulling for BB but will not be upset if it goes to Homeland it’s that good.

  • Kyle R

The safe choice would be Mad Men, but I thinking newcomer Homeland will surprise. That being said, I’d love Breaking Bad to get a win.

Breaking Bad Season 4 is the best season of the show, period. Amazing. Slow start, but it pays off awesomely in the final few episodes.

Will Win: Mad Men or Homeland
    Should Win: Homeland

This is the trickiest category to guess. I think Mad Men and Homeland are the front runners, although Breaking Bad could easily score an upset. I don’t think Downton Abbey, Boardwalk Empire, or Game of Thrones will win because a lot of critics are saying the last seasons of those three aren’t as good as the previous were. I just don’t think Breaking Bad will win this year, maybe next year, becasue it’ll be the final season. So it’s up to Homeland & Mad Men.
Homeland is the only one I watch out of the six, so I hope it wins.

    I think Homeland will win.

Homeland and Mad Men are the 2 best shows on tv so I will be happy if either win.

  • Petar Ivanov

    Game Of Thrones

  • Petar Ivanov

I mean Game Of Thrones Should and will win.

  • DW

i saw one ep. of homeland as a free preview that first episode hit everything outside of doctor who and Luther on bbc america but since Luther is more of a miniseries im going with homeland.

  • Hugh

Homeland should win. Best first season of a show I’ve ever seen.

  • BrieK

Mad Men is going to win, but Breaking Bad SHOULD win. I don’t know why, but when Emmy voters get into the habit of voting for a show/person, they can’t seem to stop. It happens time and time again.

  • Wade

I have watched Homeland, BB and Thrones. I can’t comment others but out of the 3, Homeland should win cuz it compels me to watch all season, and excellent drama. I have watched BB last season and I have already forgotten who is who. Thrones I have only tuned onto the pilot and fell asleep in 5 minutes…

    Will: BB?

I think revenge should be on the list. some say it’s cheesy acting but i think it’s the reason it compels us to watch so…

  • Wade

sorry… BB as in Broadwalk Empire not Breaking Bad… my mistake on the part :(

Why was “Peron of Interest” left out, it is my fav.

  • Tom

Incredible category this year. It should go to Mad Men, Breaking Bad, or Game of Thrones. Those three are the class of TV right now IMO.

Boardwalk lacks the strong lead characters the other shows have, and the writing isn’t as strong. Still an awesome show though.

Homeland is really good and had a fantastic first season, but isn’t on the same level as the top 3.

The Ewwy’s have revealed it! Fringe! Nuff said.

Will and should win: Breaking Bad

The shortlist is so strong this year, I couldn’t make much of an argument against any one of them, aside from Downton Abbey, which I don’t watch and probably never will. Homeland was the best new show last year, GoT was great, Mad Men still going strong, and Boardwalk Empire took the step from very good to great in its second season. Breaking Bad, however, had one of the greatest single seasons of all time, perhaps on par with The Wire’s fourth season. It deserves to win this, if these awards are truly meant to represent superior artistic achievement. Unfortunately, they rarely actually are–The Wire never won a thing, so I wouldn’t be shocked if BB went away empty handed in the series category. I’ll stay positive for once, and say it WILL win.

  • Rebecca

I picked Breaking Bad for both. Granted, the only other show I’ve seen on this list is Mad Men, and I’m caught up on both shows…but Breaking Bad was excellent last season.
