@ Paul who said:
“CNBC poll
“Do Governor Romney’s remarks at a recent fundraiser regarding 47% of Americans being dependent on government make you more or less likely to support his candidacy?
.More likely (23683) – your vote 48%
Less likely (14073) 28%
Will have no impact (11994) 24%”
I have been all over CNBC’s site and can’t find the poll. Since it has the “your vote” attached to it it seems like it is one of those informal and non-scientific polls where you click on your choice. Those polls are a little easy for groups to hear and linkk to resulting in mass voting sways one way or the other.
If you could direct me to it that would be great so I can vote “no impact” which I think is the real case with the average American voter.
The real statistically significant (or insignificant) polls will be out in the next couple of days.
@dana
The smart taxation of the American people would be by zip code of primary residence so that a persons tax rate is pegged to that particular region’s cost of living…it costs twicw as much to live in ny than iowa..this would also stem the losses and the tax base of some populations in expensive regions…but hey, what do i know?

Not sure the people in Iowa would look favorable on subsidizing 1 bedromm apartments that cost over a million dollars,,or someone living in sunny Honolulu in January,,while they freeze their as off on the frozen tundra,,just because it costs alot more to live in paradise..

@ sucklow
Romney is so out of touch. Isn’t this the guy that thinks middle class is $200k to $250K?
Did not oblumbles say that the middle class up to $250,000 dollars would not see a tax increase?
Looks like a gotcha for sure.
Coffee Steve
the buy back of Mortgage backed Bonds is a bail out of bad loans to the banks. After this, they will be in good shape. That money will not help the economy. It will go to and over priced stock market. PE in a recession should be 7, Not 20.
$480 billion for bank, SS is $570 billion a year. Almost equal the SS. there is no problem with SS it is everything else. Why are the Reps not calling for Fed chief to resign.
Because they love it toooo. It goes to their friends to.

Rush Limbaugh said they took the poll down

the poll was not good for MSNBC
Nothing like Obama’s little suck up keeping the statement totally out of context! How to campaign from the podium of the daily presidental press briefing! Romney NEVER said he would not represent tht 47% he said he was not going out of his way to try to get their vote bewcause they wont vote for him they will vote for Obama.
Jay Carney On Romney Video: When You’re The President You Represent Everyone, ‘Not Just The People Who Voted For You’
White House press secretary Jay Carney commented on the leaked video of Mitt Romney speaking to a room of wealthy donors during today’s press briefing. In a video released yesterday by Mother Jones, Romney told donors at a fundraiser that he would never be able to reach 47 percent of voters because they are too “dependent upon government.” Carney said today that any president is supposed to represent all the people, not just the ones who supported them in the election.

Carney did not directly rebut Romney’s statement, but he did fire back in response to Romney saying that he would never be able to win over 47 percent of the electorate.
“When you’re president of the United States, you are president of all the people, not just the people who voted for you. We’ve heard the president say so many times, because he deeply believes it, that we’re in this together, all of us.”
Carney touted President Obama‘s accomplishments in office and concluded by saying a president needs to lead with “a keen understanding that you’re out there fighting for every American.” A reporter in the room asked if Obama has watched the video of Romney yet. Carney said he has not asked the president about it

this man is dead. CNN does it again.
Anthony Parello (AP076) ,
The US hasn’t lost an American ambassador since Jimmy Carter.
Why all of this matters is because Obama did a radio interview in 2007 in which he promised to heal the rift with the Middle East. Not only is the rift now exacerbated, but it reflects negatively on Obama’s whole Middle East policies. Then, to make matters worse, the Administration lied & covered up …… Cover ups don’t go well with the public.
Hmmm…. NBC News: Obama Administration Not Telling the Truth on Benghazi Security Lapses
Who else is questioning the spinning & outright lies of the Libyan embassy & safe house assaults…. Mail Online UK , France 24, Fox News, McClatchy , CNN (AC 360) , Libyan government, MSNBC’s Chuck Todd, etc.

Canadian’s ‘Globe & Mail’
I guess blaming the video is easier than facing the facts.. Back in 2009, President Barack Obama went to Cairo and promised to reset the U.S. relationship with the Arab world.
Things didn’t quite work out as planned. Back then, 70 per cent of Egyptians had an unfavorable opinion of the U.S. Today, 79 per cent do.

Every living person in this world should pay income tax to the Federal government. Even if it’s only FIVE DOLLARS A YEAR, it’s something.
Ralph Hahn—–Nobody should pay income tax.
Ralph Hahn—–Nobody should pay income tax.
where would the banks get their $40 billion a mouth, or $80 billion this year. Mortgaged backed bonds . These bonds will default.
I meant $480 billion a year.

Romney Prepares To Own 47% Message: Can He Make Lemonade?
The fallout in the media over a hidden camera video which captured Mitt Romney “inelegantly” referring to the 47 percent of Americans who do not pay income taxes as President Barack Obama’s base has been overwhelming. The impact on the electorate, anecdotally at least, appears to be more muted than the outrage on the cable news networks and among the pundit class would lead you to believe. With the word out now that the Romney campaign is preparing to own these comments and frame them as an effort to push back against the president’s class warfare rhetoric, this episode may become an opportunity for Romney to make lemonade

I thought it might have been Yahoo Finance rather than CNBC.
I voted as indicated.
The numbers you indicated are holding up.

QE3 Talk Continued…
They were hoping that the dudes with money would use LBO transactions, where financial buyers seek to generate high returns on the equity investments and use financial leverage (debt) to increase these potential of making boo koo bucks …
Problem is the majority of the big guns are just going to take the money, spread the wealth with their buddies and we won’t even get leftovers for supper. Oh QE3 did have an effect all right, small home investors seen a reduction in our investments, now who would have predicted that?
@Ratboy
Romney Prepares To Own 47% Message
The best defense is a great offense. This video may actually help the Old Dude get more votes. As Paul and AP have been talking about, the polls I’ve seen and the radio talk I been hearing is, on Romneys base? No harm, it comes down to the un-decided votes.
Let me share some Old man reporters advice
When something breaks, stay calm, and don’t doo doo in your pants, do NOT fall for the shock value, when Campaigns get ready to either release a bombshell, even if its nothing about nothing, they react and the media reacts as if a asteriod just hit them in the head and act Shocked an amazed.
It’s little to do about nothing in the time frame of an election cycle
