Ratboy
About your Lemonade Lemons analogy I couldn’t agree. This certainly is not going to move the needle in favor of the Obama campaign nearly as much as those in the media have suggested if at all. Any Romney bump from “owning” the comment (as I suggested earlier he should) will be minor as well.
Jay Carney’s statement is a disappointment. I wish as much as humanly possible both Democratic and Republican administration would not use the White House briefing room to shill for their campaigns.
I am not current to what degree the administration owns past redistribution comments. I suspect they wish they never happened or were recorder.
I personally find the term offensive but find the principals behind it sound to some degree. Lots of what government does is redistribution of wealth. It is just a fundamental difference in governance between the two parties.
I always make the point that public libraries redistribute the wealth of authors and publishing companies by providing books that could be profitable sales to the public at large for no cost.
College grants also strike me as a form of redistribution of wealth in the form of hopes for long term return on investment. It actually is my opinion that if you take government grants to fund your education you should have to do service in return and the grants should be given mostly to those who will major in things that give back to society as a whole.
Speaking of Jay Carney, this story may grow slow, but its going to grow
Jay Carney walking back WH Libya Statement
‘We made that assessment based on the evidence we have … at this time’
Many, many sources now say, There was NOT any protest going at the time of the attack, which means it was an pre planned attack.
Now the questions should start
Why no secrity around the Ambassador on a 9-11 date that you had three days warning on?
Why after a IED device went off in the same area 2 days beofre did you not know they were a target etc…
Enquiring minds want to know
Actually rat. Romney said this….”Romney went on: “[M]y job is is not to worry about those people. I’ll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives.”
He said that 47% of the population don’t take personal responsibility or care for their lives? That’s pretty BS.
eggmanbill – That POS Eric Bolling of the GOP Romper Room,The Five, said that President Obama answers to the Qur’an first and the Constitution second.

You left out his clarification at the end of the show.
A rare weekend sweep for FNC.
I have to agree Suikostinger, it’s not what he said, it’s more how he phrased it that came off bad. I do think it makes him come off as a rich snob. While I don’t think he will lose alot of voters for the comment I do think there will be a few people in the middle who will add this to the list of reasons not to vote for Romney.
Personally I use that quote and start targeting the 65+ crowd(something which Romney currently has a lead in) who are part of that 47% that Romney thinks are moochers
I should also add I find it extremely funny Romney constantly bring up how Obama wants to divide the population as one of this talking points, it will be hard to take him seriously if he uses that talking point again
Speaking of elites I would love to hear Santorum tell us again about those “smart elites” in reference to Romney. lol
@Suikostinger
“[M]y job is is not to worry about those people.
Could it be that he meant not to worry about them because they wouldn’t vote for him anyway
I just watched the whole video that was just released and it sure sounded like that to me.
@Hillbilly
You left out his clarification at the end of the show.
He’s good at that LOL
By the way, now that the FULL Mother Jones video has been released some even in the left media are blasting the out of context method used on selected clips’
The full video can be seen at good old Mother Jones

You have to consider the audience! He was talking to “Investors”! It was a fund raiser and he needed to let the people know where the money would be spent. He made the point, IN THAT ROOM to THAT crowd to assure them that he was going to spend their contribution in the best places. That is not BS that is telling like it is to the crowd of the moment.
Anyone with the smallest amount of business sense and experiance understands what and why he said it.

Yes you do have to consider the audience, this is how Romney talks to other “elites” behind 47% of the US populations back. I guess we should not care because it was a room full of “job creators” right and they should be worshipped no matter what they do and say
Rat, well that leaves suiko and boss out.
FNC has three shows in the top 25.
@Mark
Romney’s camp has now said fundraisers will be open to cameras, Hopefully from now on, all of them will be open. Would be nice.
By the way a funny side note about the fundraiser, the guy who hosted it is known to have orgies at his parties. While I have 0 problems with that, I am guessing the christian right might not be a fan of a guy taking money from a fornicator.
@Hillbilly
FNC has three shows in the top 25.
That is impressive for a cable news station for sure
Mark, and Obama has never been an elitist and said that “people cling to their religion, guns and have an antipathy for people not like them”. Much worse than what Romney said. Like coffee said he was referring to not spending the audience’s money trying to get the vote of those who are beholding to the Demos.
Broadcast’s lowest show in top 25 – 6273.

That does work both ways, like Pimp With a Limp and music artist with less than suitable lyrics.
Cable’s highest non sporting in top 25 – 5336.
Using Steve Perry logic cable TV is dying.
