He means he isn’t going to get their votes. Although it does not sound good and will sound even worse when the lib. media plays it a million times over the next two months.
That is the nice thing about having the media in your pocket. Will they play the O’Rielly interview where the Prez. sounds like a neophyte talking about the Muslim Brotherhood. Or when they claim the terror attack in Libya wasn’t a terror attack.
Romney gave the lib. media the club and now they are going to beat him bloody with it.
We are talking about a man who believes that the middle class earns between $200,000 – $250,000 a year. The man doesn’t even understand basic math. FOUR PERCENT of the American people earn between $200,000 – $250,000.
So, what Romeny is saying is that ONLY FOUR PERCENT of Americans comprise the middle class.
He’s pathetic.
Sicilian Papa wrote: “He means he isn’t going to get their votes.”
That is exactly what Chuck Todd explained to Brian Williams a couple of minutes ago on NBC.
@Bsotgnw
————————-
when you rob Peter to pay Paul you are prety much assured of Pauls vote. Since 40 something plus % pay no “FEDERAL” tax you can count on their vote. Do you disagree?
————————-
You have to get some of that 47% you are putting down to get over 51% total. Will most of them vote Republican, probably not, but it doesn’t mean that all of them are “useless voters”
Romney goes on and on about Obama waging a “class warfare” but his comments are basically setting classes between bottom 47% and top 53%
Hey Sicilian Papa, do you get Medicare or Social Security? Don’t you realize “you’ve got to take care of yourself”? You’re just an “entitled” American. You obviously perceive yourself as a “victim.”
FORTY-SEVEN percent, 130 MILLION AMERICANS, Romney believes they have no personal responsibility, who perceive themselves as “victims”, who think they are “entitled” to live on the dole.
FORTY-SEVEN percent.
Mitt Romney disparages almost HALF of the American people. Are you %^&*$# kidding me?
@AppleStinx … no amount of sophistry can change Mitt Romney’s own words.
He disparaged 47% of the American people, 130 MILLION Americans.
He believes they are worthless who perceive themselves as “victims” who have no “personal responsiblity.”
Mitt Romney believes 130 MILLION AMERICANS have no personal responsiblity.
He’s a &^%&* joke.
I should probably add, this wasn’t a stump speech, this was a speech given behind closed doors(or as he refers to it “quiet rooms”) to a bunch of rich donors. How exactly does that look. it makes Romney look even more two faced.
Boss, I will refrain from calling anyone names and I would appreciate if you would do the same. I am not an idealog. But if you pay pay roll taxes and get them back on April 15th have you realy paid them?
The Prez.’s foreign policy and his economy are collapsing but this will help. He may be a total failure but at least he is not the other guy the campaign will tell people.
He may win with that kind of stuff but he is still a failure.
Maybe we will get QE4, 5 and 6 in a second term. Print more money that is the answer.
Last week Mitts Libya gaffes took the wheels of Mitts campaign.
This week “I don’t care about them” comment, is making the whole damn motor is blow up!
What’s left for that buffoon?
Clint & an empty chair maybe….
Bsotgnw … You’re the one who made the outrageous claim that “40+ percent” do not pay “FEDERAL” taxes.
I simply pointed out that anyone who buys a gallon of gasoline pays a “FEDERAL” tax. I also pointed out that anyone who receives a paycheck pays a payroll tax (which is the federal tax that funds Social Security and Medicare) … 7.5% matched by your employer, although I realize that Pres. Obama gave the American people a payroll tax cut.
But, I guess you don’t like tax cut.
Rick Santorum rails against the “elite” at that right-wing wacko conference this past weekend. Can anyone be more elitist than Mitt Romney?
Boss, Check out wikipedia
Lucky duckies – Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I have been that poor recently and I avoided leaning on my neighbors. I thought about getting government help. If I did it would have been temporary. I am going to have to figure out my own situation as it stands and it is not good. I don’t think that is anyone’s responsibility but mine.
I wouldn’t bank on government benefits. We are going to have big problems in the next couple of years.
As far as seniors go that is different. They did their time and Romney will have to explain what he meant to them. Also there are a lot of wealthier people that support the Prez. Not everyone that is supporting him is dirt poor and not paying taxes.
I am still stunned that Mitt Romney believes that 130 million Americans have no personal responsibility. Actually, my math was wrong. He believes 146 MILLION Americans have no personal responsibility, who perceive themselves as “victims.”
@Bostgnw … hahaha. You are referencing Wikipedia! Is that the extent of your research?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a joke.
Boss, would you rather I us BLS if so let me know I know that some time facts suck.
Top 10 Percent of Earners Paid 71 Percent of Federal Income Taxes
That POS Eric Bolling of the GOP Romper Room,The Five, said that President Obama answers to the Qur’an first and the Constitution second. Eric “POS” Bolling should be fired but he won’t be, because the Murdoch Fox No-News Corporation is not only Anti Obama but Anti American. Murdoch should be run out of our Great Country like he was run out of the UK.
47% of Americans is 146 million Americans.
The Republican nominee believes that 146 million Americans have no personal responsibility who perceive themselves as “victims.”
That’s almost HALF of this country’s population.
No amount of sophistry that can change what Romney belives about almost ONE-HALF of the American people.
The Earned Income Tax Credit was a REPUBLICAN idea back in the ’70′s under Richard Nixon. It was designed to help LOW-INCOME WORKING Americans who work rather than live off the dole. The EITC was once a “conservative” idea. Yet, even now THAT policy has come under attack by the modern-day right-wing wacko.
