Which New Fall Broadcast TV Show Will Be Canceled First? (Poll)

Update October 10, 2012: Though it came in a distant sixth, Made In Jersey was first to be cancelled.

The Cancellation Bear has awoken after his summer hibernation and he's hungry.

The new broadcast primetime shows have already begun premiering, so it's  time to throw your hat in the ring and guess which new broadcast primetime show you think will be caught by the cancellation bear and canceled first!

Because comment thread lawyers are everywhere, let's be clear that for the purposes of this poll "canceled" means removed from its initially scheduled timeslot, either off the air entirely or rescheduled to a burn off timeslot, even if the network *claims* the show will return later (two seasons ago those who answered The Whole Truth in the "next to be canceled" poll ended up being correct, it was removed first among the shows noted and never returned, despite initial ABC claims to the contrary).

What's your guess?

While this poll allows just one answer per person, feel free to expand your choices in the comments.

9/19 Update: You can also guess which new show will be given a full season order first.

Was it Grimm that was voted last year at the top of the poll?

    Animal Practice.

    Really NBC? Really?

why “awake” is a link ?

  • Judy Weightman

Not so much a prediction as a hope — “The New Normal” needs to die if only to put Ellen Barkin out of her misery. (Whaddya think, gambling debts?)

  • Jack S

Close call between ‘Guys With Kids’ & ‘Animal Practice’ but I went for GWK. Could be ‘The Neighbors’ too but that could get off to an OK-ish start behind MF.

“Was it Grimm that was voted last year at the top of the poll?”

No, it was The Playboy Club, followed by Once Upon A Time and Charlie’s Angels.

Grimm was *way* back in the voting. Perhaps because it premiered *much* later than most shows.

pilot of the mob doctor is awful

“why “awake” is a link ?”

While fans may quickly forget last season’s failed shows, our auto-hyperlinking software remembers forever!

I have edited my wording to eliminate the link.

i think a lot of the new comedys will die young, for the dramas chicago fire defanatly and maybe last resort, becouse its time slot is the worst, especially for that kind of show, made in jersey also looks in dangour, but i belive that the first show that will be canceled is ben and kate falloed by the mindy project and then probably the neighbors its a good show for me but its that america doesnt like it much and finally could be the mob doctor i’m also very exited about that one but it also seems like i hateble show for america other shows in dangour for me are animal practice i did not enjoy that one episode at all and the new normal whitch i amazing show with a lot of sense

    @Jack S
the neighbors switch his slot with suburgatory ,suburgatory is now after MF

I love Ellen Barkin in the The New Normal. She’s the best thing in it–sort of an up-to-date female Archie Bunker. Outrageous and a hoot. I like the show too. It works. Looks (now, at least) as though I’ve got company.

  • Nadine

I have no idea. Until one has seen the shows, how can you tell?

  • Jack S

The Neighbors will still air one episode after MF though.

  • Nadine

…but I will say that the promos for Elementary look God-awful.

  • Raykov

I was thinking Guys with Kids, Ben and Kate or The Neighbors, but since GWK already started that gives it the edge of being first cancelled.

  • Melanie

I said ‘Partners’ and I’m thinking I should have said ‘Neighbors’ but I think they’ll both end up bear food before the season is over.

Made In Jersey with no doubts!

Followed shortly by Neighbors & Mob Doctor.

    @ivan
but i belive that the first show that will be canceled is ben and kate falloed by the mindy project

I think FOX’s sitcoms are fairly safe from early cancellation due to a complete lack of replacements (one of The Goodwin Games’ leads is still doing a recurring role on How I Met Your Mother).

I’m not really familiar with most of those new shows, but I’d guess FOX or NBC are the first to cancel a show..probably NBC. or maybe CW will shock us and be the first to cancel one of their new flops instead of giving it a full season.
