    “bought gold at $240/oz…”

    Good call! I myself got the gold and silver bug late in the game a little over a year ago, but didn’t buy for investment…instead to hold through pending inflation.

    The White house admitted the Libya attack was a terror attack. They gave up on the bad lie because they figure they got it won with the Romney video. Maybe so the lib. media is giddy like a schoolgirl hammering Romney today.

    If Romney is finished as the Dems. are saying it is a self inflicted wound. I won’t defend stupid. He may be right on some level but any Repub. has to be careful about what they say of the cuff. A Dem. can get away with stupid comments. A Repub. can not.

    The lib. media will hammer him until election day. He gave them the club to beat him with.

    The righties haven’t posted polls yet……. This explains why.

    Romney dropped and is now tied on “better dealing with Economy” with the President.

  • PoodlePower

    @Sicilian Papa

    I agree. However, living in California, where there seems to be a growing number of people living off the public dime and increasing numbers of tax payers like myself building the foundation to hop states out of California, I believe that Romney speaking off the cuff will resonate with people who have thought what he said but not said themselves. I see it kinda like the left media pointing to Obama’s positive poll numbers which are heavily sampled with Democrats, but ignore the possibility that there are large numbers of silent conservatives who only speak through the vote. 2010 Congressional elections as an example.

  • TheBoss1

    Are we officially on slit-my-wrist watch tonight for the Righties because of MSNBC’s big night last tonight? I hope not, at least for the true compassionate conservatives on this site … Ralph Hahn, d.d., LetMeThink, and Coffee. For you guys, you have my unyielding thanks and appreciation for your continued kind words and prayers regarding my mother’s condition. You guys consistency prove your decency, warm-heartedness, and generosity of spirit. Thank you. It is greatly appreciated.

    For the rest of you Righties, I’ll bring the razor blades (wink, wink).

    I have to address a point a newbie made last night, and that is like how the top income earners pay 71% of federal income taxes. I hear this a lot, and also how 40% pay no income tax. When I hear these arguments, I just want to pull out the few remaining pieces of hair I have left on my head.

    Of course the top income recipients pay the great majority of federal income taxes. And, of course the working poor pay no federal income taxes. You don’t have to be a genius to figure that out.

    I’ll explain it for the obdurate among you. And, I’ll K.I.S.S. it for you (Keep It Simple, Stupid) so you’ll understand….

    Let’s say we have a make-believe country, Romneyland. In Romneyland, we have the 1% of income recipients, and we’ll call him Willard. Willard makes $1000.00 a year in income. Then we have the middle income recipients, and we’ll call him Joe. Joe makes $50.00 a year in income. Then we have the working poor, and we’ll call him Keivon. Keivon makes $10.00 a year income.

    In Romneyland, we’ll tax all income brackets at the same rate, instituting a flat tax with no deductions. In Romneyland, Willard pays $100.00 in federal income tax. Joe pays $5.00 in federal income tax. And Keivon pays $1.00 in federal income tax.

    The total revenue collected in Romneyland is $106.00. Now, what percent of federal income taxes did each contribute to the federal treasury? Willard paid 94.3% of all federal income taxes collected. Joe paid 4.7% of all federal income taxes collected. And Keivon paid .9% of all federal income taxes collected.

    The conservative pundits in Romney land are outraged that Willard has to pay 94.3% of all federal income taxes collected. So, the conservative pundits want to lower the tax rate for Willard. And, the conservative pundits are also outraged that Keivon only pays .9% of all federal income tax revenues, so we’ll have to raise the rates on Keivon, because we want the working poor to contribute to the federal treasury and we want to make sure that Keivon takes full personal responsibility for his care.

    @Jeff

    Those polls are not correct, I have these two turtles that predict things, if they turn upside down it goes well for the Liberals, and when they float and poop in the water Romney is up, and judging by the amount of poop I had to syphon up, Romney in a landslide, don’t mess with turtle poop dude

    They picked last years NCAA Basketball game and the Superbowl as well.

    Yes, Jeff I have had too much coffee today (before you ask)

    lol at the turtle poop predicting Romney landslide.

  • Sicilian Papa

    MSNBC won big because their viewers saw blood in the water. I understand why they would want to see Romney get hammered by the lib. hosts on MSNBC. We, on the right, would flock to watch if we thought the Prez. stepped in it. For us it would be a hollow victory because the corrupt vermin in the Lib. media would twist the story and we would lose the PR war.

    The Prez left our embassies under protected and Romney’s one comment was the story. Pew research found only 26% of respondents approved of Romney’s handling of the attacks. We can’t win even when we are right or at the very least not to blame.

    The Prez. is such an unmitigated failure which. means we still have a chance. People know he is a disaster. Will Romney be able to overcome the withering attacks from the corrupt vermin in the lib. media? I know politics and I am guessing he won’t. The corrupt vermin in the lib. media will destroy him.

    The corrupt vermin in the lib. media will destroy him.

    I know it would seem like it and it seems he isn’t doing well, but if that was the case, whay hasn’t his numbers dropped? On Gallup, Rass and others he’s maintained anyhere from 44-48 and it stays about the same, and now Obama’s numbers have come back down.

    The media will hype any perception, keep you eyes on the numbers and don’t lsiten or believe the media’s junk

  • TheBoss1

    @Sicilian Papa … my goodness, Mitt got the facts wrong regarding the Libya embassasy attacks. His timeline was off. The bodies weren’t even cold yet before he tried to politicize the issue. But, that’s Romney. He’s a political opportunitist to the Nth degree. He has no core. He’s an empty shell of a politician who has changed his views on vital political issues more than any modern politician. He’s Mr. Etch-a-Sketch who says whatever his audience wants to hear, regardless of his own political convictions, of which he has none.

    And you blame this empty vessel of a man on the liberal media?

    *ABC News

    A French satirical magazine is set to publish several cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed on Wednesday, a move that is likely to inflame the Islamic faithful and militants who have already rioted in more than 20 countries over a movie mocking the prophet.

    Depictions of the prophet are strictly prohibited and considered blasphemous by Muslims. Cartoons of Muhammad published in Denmark in 2005 and then reproduced in newspapers across Europe triggered riots throughout the Mideast and Africa. Churches and embassies were torched and at least 100 people died in the outbreaks and police crackdowns.

    The magazine “Charlie Hebdo” has confirmed that it will publish the cartoons, but has not revealed what they will depict. French newspaper “Le Monde” reports that some of the cartoons show the prophet in “particularly explicit poses,” without providing any further detail.
