   MTV scripted is in a tough spot. Awkward is quality but is peaking — at 1.7 is fine but it is not breakout (last week is a bit of an outlier.) They don’t try to build — if something isn’t a hit they cancel, so they are constantly reloading. Wouldn’t they have been better off with a 2nd season of Pants, which had a strong following and good reviews, then trying to rebuild completely with Wakebrotehrs, Inbetweeners, and soon Underemployed. It really makes no sense financially either — launching a new show is SO much more $ than renewing and trying to build.

   @hermmm Just so you know, Awkward did crack over 2mil this season, twice. And it has been holding pretty strongly and steady for MTV as well.

   What about Syfy flop numbers? I see enough about MTV here. I mean a 0.4 for its top rated show is as bad as CW pathetic ratings.

   WWE is horrifically bad right now, if you’re a wrestling fan still ignoring the superior TNA product you have issues or your under the age of 13.

   Maybe Syfy should acquire LA Complex, it has tons of genre connections and the ratings might just fit in with the rest of the programming these days.

    With Peyton in fold, ESPN 30% up this week. Meanwhile, w/o Peyton SNF on NBC 20% down.
    Could be coincidence, but could be a trend too.

    Alphas is such a good show, completely lost on Scyfi! I am so sorry it wont be renewed. Also, I still dont understand why the hell does it premiere so late in the summer season making it compete directly against the networks during fall premiere weeks. Ridiculous!

    Actually that might not be a bad idea plus it has Sci-Fi princess Jewel Staite in it so they can run repeats of Serenity before it every episode.

    Perception was so good too bad aboy its finale ratings. But at least its alreasdy renewed. WH13 was also good, i hope ita ratings go up next few episodes.

    Stop kidding yourself TNA is just as bad as WWE if not worse. WWE just has a bigger audience, get over it.

    This is season 4 for W13 and season 2 for Alphas.

    Season 5 is usually time everybody gets a significant raise.

    W13 has enough episodes for syndication.

    Doubt Haven will have better ratings than Alphas.

    Can’t cancel everything(can they?)

    I see Alphas getting renewed and W13 cancelled.

    The Alphas episode was good, but not outstanding. It’s not clear where the overall story line is going to go at this point, which may be putting off some viewers.

    I think the point EatMorePez raises about airing three times in one night may be valid. Clearly not everyone is going to watch the first episode, so its rating is likely to be misleading. I think it’s dumb to air a show three times in one night, as an aside, given how ratings are calculated by Nielsen.

    There are only five episodes left, so I would expect the show to pick up the story arc as it heads into the two-part finale when Summer Glau returns as Skylar. There has to be a serious confrontation between the forces of Stanton Parish and Dr. Rosen and the government at some point similar to what occurred last season.

    Warehouse 13 has a somewhat confusing story arc with an unclear antagonist this season, and the show simply hasn’t been as good as in the past as a result. That may partly account for its lower ratings.

    If ABC and Disney owns this channel do they heavily advertise their shows on it?
