Univision Finished the Week as the #3 Network among Adults 18-34, Ahead of ABC and CBS

World Cup Qualifying Match between Mexico and Costa Rica Draws 3.7 Million Total Viewers 2+, 2.2 Million Adults 18-49

Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights - Week of September 10, 2012 to September 16, 2012

 

  • · Univision was the #3 network during primetime last week among Adults 18-34, out-delivering ABC (+66%) and CBS (+27%).

 

  • · Univision was also the #4 network during primetime last week among Adults 18-49, out-delivering ABC (+31%).

 

  • · Univision out-delivered one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on every night last week among Adults 18-34. Univision also out-delivered one or more of the English-language broadcast networks on six out of seven nights among Adults 18-49.

ü Based on the current 2011/2012 season to date, Univision has out-performed NBC during broadcast prime 71% of the time (259 out of 364 days) among Adults 18-34 and 50% of the time (182 out of 364 days) among Adults 18-49.

ü Additionally Univision has out-performed ABC on 145 nights, CBS on 125 nights, and FOX on 109 nights among Adults 18-49. Furthermore, among Adults 18-34, Univision has out-performed ABC on 241 nights, CBS on 274 nights, and FOX on 144 nights.

ü Moreover, Univision out-delivered two or more of the English-language broadcast networks on five out of seven nights last week among Total Viewers 2+.

 

  • · Univision kicked off the week on Monday as the #3 network among both adults 18-34 and adults 18-49, out-delivering ABC and CBS in both demographics. Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 10 programs for Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34. Univision also held the #4 network position among Total Viewers 2+, beating CBS.

 

  • · On Tuesday night, Univision ranked #2 among Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49, out-delivering ABC and CBS in both demographics for the second consecutive night this week. Univision also held the #4 network position among Total Viewers 2+, beating ABC. Contributing to this success was Univision’s telecast of “Camino al Mundial,” where Mexico defeated Costa Rica to qualify for the hexagonal round of the 2014 World Cup. The game attracted 3.7 million Total Viewers 2+, 1.2 million Adults 18-34, 2.2 million Adults 18-49 and ranked among the top 5 programs of the entire evening among both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49.

 

  • · On Wednesday night Univision ranked #3 among both adults 18-34 and adults 18-49, out-delivering ABC and CBS for the third consecutive night this week. Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 10 programs for Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49. Univision also held the #4 network position among Total Viewers 2+, beating ABC.

 

  • · On Thursday, Univision maintained its #3 rank among both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49, out-delivering ABC and CBS for the fourth consecutive night this week. Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 10 programs for Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49. Univision also held the #4 network position among Total Viewers 2+, beating ABC.

 

  • · On Friday night Univision ranked #1 and #2 among Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49, respectively. Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 10 programs for both demographics with “Abismo de Pasion” ranking #1. Univision also ranked #3 among Total Viewers 2+ on Friday night, beating NBC and FOX.

 

  • · Airing “Sabado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) Univision finished the night as the #5 network among Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49. “Sabado Gigante” averaged 1.6 Million Total Viewers 2+, 596,000 Adults 18-49, and 275,000 Adults 18-34. “Sabado Gigante” also ranked among the top 10 programs among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49, and Adults 18-34.

 

  • · On Sunday night Univision ranked as the #4 network among Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49. At 8 p.m., “¡Mira Quién Baila!” (Look Who’s Dancing) averaged 3.3 Million Total Viewers 2+, 1.6 Million Adults 18-49, and 798,000 Adults 18-34. The talent competition also ranked among the top 10 programs for Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49.

 

  • · At 8 p.m., Univision’s novela “Por Ella Soy Eva” (For Her, I’m Eva) helped Univision rank as the #3 network for the hour (M-F) among Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49. “Por Ella Soy Eva” delivered its highest weekly average since premiere week among Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-49. The novela built its audience from the prior week and averaged 4.0 Million Total Viewers 2+ (+8%), 2.1 Million Adults 18-49 (+5%), and 1.0 Million Adults 18-34 (+5%).

 

  • · Univision’s 9p.m. novela “Abismo de Pasion” (Abyss of Passion) helped Univision rank as the #3 network for the hour (M-F) among Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49. “Abismo de Pasion” also delivered its highest weekly average since premiere week among Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-49. “Abismo de Pasion” posted audience increases versus the previous week among Total Viewers 2+ (4.5 Million, +2%), Adults 18-49 (2.3 Million, +1%).

 

  • · In its fifth week, Univision’s 10 p.m. novela “Amor Bravio” (Fierce Love) helped Univision rank as the #1 network for the hour (M-F) among Adults 18-34 and #2 Adults 18-49. “Amor Bravio” delivered its highest weekly average since premiere week among Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-49. The novela built its audience from the prior week and averaged 3.6 Million Total Viewers 2+ (+5%) and 1.8 Million Adults 18-49 (+2%).
