   Covert Affairs, was great. Action & Drama. Great Story line. Hate winter chill, but eager for November to see this show again. Why so much competition between this show and WC?

   ^Covert Affairs returns on Oct 16. I like that its hiatus is shorter but we have to wait 8 months for new season next summer.

   white collar is a great show, ca is just a mediocre triviality.
   Budapest instead of Moscow, what a shame..and the show is totally predictable. No plot twist at all. Don’t watch. I don’t think ca will be renewed for season 4

   As for the rivalry bet. WC & CA fans, I don’t get it. The shows don’t even have the same formula. And they’re not in same time slot. They’re even in the same network, so I don’t know why fans are pitting the shows against each other.

   Actually rivalry between shows on the same network makes more sense when it comes to outrunning the cancellation bear. A show on another network in the same time slot can suck out your show’s ratings, but it doesn’t necessarily cause cancellation (case in point: the CW.) A better performing show on the same network however can jeopardise your chances when time comes for the network to choose which show to axe and which to keep.

   That said I doubt either WC or CA are in any sort of danger. This isn’t the FOX network we’re talking about.

   @tara I doubt if there’s much substance to the WC/CA rivalry. Neither show is exactly Emmy material. WC suffers from lazy scriptwriters who load their storylines with unlikely scenarios to achieve predictable outcomes. I’m out of patience with that approach. CA was just plain boring until recently when the writers started giving the heroine an edgier personna. I hope that trend continues. At least neither program has sunk to the depths of Necessary Roughness. I’m hoping that mess will be cancelled after its undeserved fall episodes finish airing.

   I used to watch WC, but lost interest. I agree w/ giving the star of CA giving star more edge. I can see why people like WC so am not a hater. When I check #’s for WC & CA not much difference, so don’t see the anchor one show has on another.

   Bring back Franklin & Bash…….

    @debra – why, it does excellent in the only important ratings number with no benefit of a USA original ahead of it. WC won’t be cancelled, Matt’s stardom will end it before its time which is fine.
