    So Go On VS New Girl…..not bad. Not bad at all. Add one NCIS LA and ABC(no idea what ABC will put there) and you have good batle for all broadcast networks.

    Great question, what was Idol pulling by second week last season? The Voice doing well is a good sign. Though I didn’t like Go On, apparently others do. Good for NBC. Third place this year?

  • Rob

    loved The New Normal last night hope it does not get canceled its the only new show that I’am watching for the 2012-13 season!

  • buddhaboi

    and congrats to the voice for a 4.7.
    “we’re coming for you x-factor!” hahaha

  • SJ

    The Middle and Suburgatory are a perfect fit. Hopefully they’ll be reunited soon. (…not that I’d mind SUB getting a little post-MF bump.)

    Great for The Voice and Go On. Still OK for The New Normal.

    watched the first 15 min. of Go On’s first ep. and I do not see what people see in that show its boring!!

    This is very, very impressive for the voice and also for Go On. I think it’s actually also more impressively for Go On, I am very happy for the show, really enjoying it so far. Good job NBC. The New Normal is still okay, but could be better. The trick here is how much overlapping audience does the new normal has with Don’t trust the bitch and the mindy project. I would actually say that the Fox and ABC block are more likely to canibalize themsleves than NBC’s, whose type of humour is a bit more different. If the overlapping audience is too large (and by too large we are talking like 0.3 or whatever, there is not much leeway left), the new normal is in trouble. However, even at 1.9 it will not be dead (though most certainly moving), because in light of the Go On and The Voice ratings, people have been forgetting that NBC has lousy, lousy ratings. It may look bad, but let the Wednesday and Thursday comedies arrive and we will see.

    @Nick
    Yay for Go On. The New Normal still doing good too, no matter what haters say.

    I don’t disagree but at the same time it sticks out like a sore thumb as the weak link following on from The Voice and Go On. That perception is likely only going to get worse in the weeks to come. I said in the preliminary discussion that I think they should play around with moving it to Wednesday 8:30 when they inevitably have to pull Guys with Kids and slotting something else into that 9:30 slot. The New Normal would probably look OK on Wednesday night (and maybe get some Modern Family halo given ABC’s poor scheduling in that 8:30 slot) and it would allow them to try and strengthen the 9PM hour as a whole which leaves them in a stronger position midseason when they replace Parenthood.

    i dnt care i think go on will win next week in the 9pm comedy off

    Tuesday nights will be a bloodbath once all of the networks get their Fall schedules up and running. With six new shows on Tuesdays, I expect two of them to be canceled before Thanksgiving.

  • CrimTV

    really really hope The New Normal survives :( . Go NBC though!

  • RAYRAY

    I hope Go On will be high next week when its up against NCIS LA.

    I vote for Emily Owens and The Mindy Project! :D

  • CrimTV

    @SJ

    Maybe Ben & Kate instead of Mindy Project but as long as TNN isn’t cancelled then fine by me :)

  • capslocke

    Go On is steady, and that’s great, but such a dramatic increase in its lead- in should have boosted it.

    Oh, and btw, *bows down to The Voice*.

  • Gamer101

    Damn @ The Voice being able to pull in the exact rating as last night but with only a 1hr run… Usually its the 2nd hour of this show that pushes 4.5+

    I’m very impressed with this show right now and i’m not sure who else watches but Im just enjoying this season so much more than the previous 2.

  • Alex

    @SJ
    For what its worth I’m a little bit ashamed to say I didn’t hate the Emily Owens pilot although it skates through primarily on the charm of its lead. It and Arrow are massive leaps forward for The CW though.

  • John813

    Wish Parenthood’s ratings were higher! Yesterday’s episode was AMAZING!!!!!!! People are really missing out on this show.

  • AndyR

    I think The New Normal is doing okay, but the bleed from Go On is troubling. TNN could actually get a hand when ABC returns Happy Endings, and when it goes up against Don’t Trust The B. The New Normal would pair well with Happy Endings, and DTTB is just not very good. I can see people switching over from Happy Endings to TNN, since they’re both targeting the same demo, generally. TNN feels more like an ABC show, but good for NBC for taking a chance with it.

    As for Go On – meh, it loses me once Happy Endings returns. It belongs with the Thursday lineup, not as a Tuesday anchor.
