On Monday, we asked which new Fall broadcast TV show would be canceled first, and today we go the other direction.
Which new Fall broadcast TV show will get an order for a full season first?
For the uninitiated, rookie shows are usually given an order for 13 episodes as an initial commitment, and after a certain level of early success, are typically given an order for an additional 9 episodes to complete a "full" season of 22 episodes (although slight variations from the magic 22 are not uncommon).
These orders typically happen anytime from the start of the broadcast season until about Thanksgiving, but could conceivably go even later than that, for shows that don't premiere next week. The busiest period for these announcements is typically mid to late October.
I believe that Fox's New Girl (on 9/28/11) was the first rookie last season to get a full season order, but as always, am open to correction!
What's your guess for this season?
While this poll allows just one answer per person, feel free to expand your choices in the comments.

Go On for many reasons: Premiered early , strong lead in , NBC in need of good new sitcoms , and performs decently for NBC.
The more perplexing question is what is the second show to be renewed. I’m guessing Nashville. The reviews are very positive (#1 best new show among most major publications) and ABC needs a strong show on the once very weak Wednesday @10:00. Revenge was the first show in many years to turn the tide and I believe Nashville will be even stronger. One caveat is that ABC renewed some of its strongest new shows very late last season (Once Upon A Time).
Go On, no doubt.
Goon… I mean, Go On.
go on barely dropped this week, and has very good ratings…pretty obvious.
Go On and possibly Revolution.
NBC should wait till New Girl/ Happy Endings premieres to give Go On a back 9. It should also wait a few weeks for The New Normal to see where it levels off, especially with competition.
Revolution is almost a given with its premiere ratings, but like I said before, wait till the Hawaii 5- 0/ Castle competition comes in to see for sure.
I really hope 666 Park gets a full season.
Lol who actually voted for The Mob Doctor?
Like most others, Go on, since it started earlier and has three pretty solid rating weeks.
Perhaps this poll (and the corresponding one concerning full season pickup) would be more meaningful if it were an apple to apple comparison.
That is, if they were based upon ‘how many episodes following the premiere of each individual show’.
That would at least partially wash out the early premiere bias seen for Go On.
The Mindy Project. She’s a name and has a huge fan base.
Go On, New Normal and probably Revolution. Go On was lucky to premiere early and has had new episodes airing since August (3 so far), its the highest rated comedy on NBC and got a good boost airing after The Voice. The New Normal will get a full year no matter if its getting a 2.0 or less. Its still good numbers for NBC compared to the low rated series they usually air.
This looks to be a great year for NBC so far with The Voice, Go On, New Normal, and probably Revolution. Even with some veteran comedies ending The Office, 30 Rock and likely Community NBC wont suffer in the comedy department. Animal Practice and Guys With Kids dont look to last long but hopefully if those two tank NBC could move Community and Whitney to Wednesdays.
I should learn to proof read. Got my verbiage mixed up.
Said above
“Perhaps this poll (and the corresponding one concerning full season pickup)”
Should have said
“Perhaps this poll (and the corresponding one concerning early cancellation)”
The Mindy Project since it’s New Girl 2.0
Go On.
I’m fully expecting NBC to pick-up Go On’s back 9 next week. Probably followed by the announcement they’re pulling one of the Wednesday comedies…
Probably RVL or GOON
Easily Go On.
I have a feeling that Arrow is a shoo-in.
@Bill
That may not be soon enough to beat the inevitable Mob Doctor news past the post!
Indeed. First cancelled looks like it might be a close run race this year.
