BATTLESTAR GALACTICA’S KANDYSE MCCLURE ELECTRIFIES AN ALL-NEW EPISODE OF SYFY’S Alphas

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 24 AT 8PM ET/PT

NEW YORK – September 20, 2012 - Kandyse McClure (Battlestar Galactica’s Anastasia “Dee” Dualla) returns to Syfy, guest starring in an all-new episode of the hit-series Alphas on Monday, September 24 at 8PM ET/PT.

McClure plays Agnes, an attractive but dangerous Alpha with the ability to see into people’s minds, but her ability comes with a painfully high cost. In Monday’s episode, “The Devil Will Drag You Under,” Agnes dives into Hicks’ (Warren Christie) mind to uncover the real motive behind his sudden defection. Meanwhile, Dr. Rosen (David Strathairn) and his team uncover Stanton Parish’s (recurring guest star John Pyper-Ferguson) growing plot to cause a massive, deadly blackout. Thwarting that threat will come at a high personal cost no one is prepared to pay.

Kandyse McClure, a mainstay in Battlestar Galactica, is amongst a stellar line-up of guest stars to appear on season two of Alphas including: Sean Astin, Summer Glau, Lauren Holly, C. Thomas Howell and more.

Alphas follows a clandestine group of ordinary people with superhuman mental and physical abilities. Led by preeminent neurologist and psychiatrist Dr. Lee Rosen (Emmy Award-winner and Academy Award-nominee David Strathairn), the unlikely team takes on cases the CIA, FBI and Pentagon are unwilling or unable to solve going head-to-head with many of the criminal Alphas hiding among the normal population. The series also stars Malik Yoba, Ryan Cartwright, Warren Christie, Azita Ghanizada, Laura Mennell and Erin Way.

I Love this show, this has been a really good season.

Kinda given up on this show. I was really into it during season 1, but since the start of season 2 I have lost interest. I may tune in if I have the time to watch Dee though. She was always one of my favorites from BSG.

It’s not been the best this season. I’m still watching but it’s not the same show as season one. I hate sophomore slumps.

    I like this season better.

I still don’t like they had Dee shoot herself in the head.

Alphas is just another take on the X-Men. There’s the Xavier character. There’s the Magneto character. There’re the good Alphas. There are the ‘bad’ Alphas.

    Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

There is nothing original anymore, for the last 100+ years everything is inspired of/from something/someone…so your comment is invalid. I would really si you or anyone else for that matter to make something original…nor you or me are unable to do so.
The show is pretty awesome and more “down to earth” than most of sci-fi series out there. Caracters are good and all of them have deep backgrounds, a good mix of different genras.

Alphas is a great show, I hope it goes on for a long time. I haven’t seen one episode that I didn’t like. I loved Kathleen Munroe who did such a great job playing Dr. Rosen’s daughter Dani. She was such a pretty, but confused girl. She added so much to the show and I hated it when they had her killed.
