ENCORE’s The Big Miniseries Showcase PRESENTS:

“Jason and the Argonauts” on Monday, October 1st

AND The five-time Emmy® Award-winning

“Gulliver’s Travels” on Monday, October 15TH

ENCORE’s “The Big Miniseries Showcase” will premiere the EMMY® nominated tale of good and evil, “Jason and the Argonauts,on Monday, October 1st, with part two airing on Tuesday, October 2nd at 8pm et/pt on ENCORE.

 

Following the weeklong U.S. television premiere of “Titanic: Blood and Steel” on Monday, October 8th, “The Big Miniseries Showcase” will debut the five-time Emmy® award-winning, “Gulliver’s Travels,” on Monday, October 15th, continuing on Tuesday, October 16th at 8pm. “The Big Miniseries Showcase” is a weekly programming destination of fan favorites and classic titles, premiering every Monday night.

 

JASON AND THE ARGONAUTS Synopsis – Premieres Mon. Oct. 1& Tues. Oct. 2 at 8pm

(followed by a marathon on Sun. Oct. 7 at 5pm)

Set in ancient Greece, Jason and a sailing crew named the Argonauts, embark on a perilous voyage to find the coveted Golden Fleece, considered to be the greatest gift from the gods to man. Jason must capture the priceless Fleece in order to reclaim his father’s kingdom, stolen by his evil uncle Pelias. Nominated for two EMMY® awards, “Jason and the Argonauts” stars Jason London, Natasha Henstridge, & Dennis Hopper (2000) release).

Gulliver’s Travels Synopsis – Premieres Mon. Oct. 15 & Tues. Oct. 16 at 8pm

(followed by a marathon on Sun. Oct. 21 at 9:30am)

Jonathan Swift's classic satirical novel comes to life in this five-time EMMY®-award winning miniseries, “Gulliver’s Travels.” Starring Ted Danson, a shipwrecked Gulliver visits many lands where he meets the tiny residents of Lilliput, giants, scientists, and talking horses, in this hilarious adventure. The miniseries also stars Mary Steenburgen, Peter O'Toole, James Fox, Omar Sharif, Alfre Woodard, John Gielgud, & Ned Beatty (1995 release).
