George Stephanopoulos Talks to Caroline Kennedy Live September 25 on “GMA”

On Monday, September 24, Diane Sawyer will take you behind the closed doors of the Kennedy White House, listening in on Oval Office meetings recorded on a secret taping system – installed by John F. Kennedy himself. It is a rare chance to hear living history – a President alternately tough, amused and serious, grappling with monumental issues, from the fight for civil rights to the Cuban missile crisis. Sawyer will speak exclusively with Caroline Kennedy to discuss the recordings.

These exclusive reports will air MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 24 on “ABC World News with Diane Sawyer” (6:30 p.m., ET) and “Nightline” (11:35 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. In addition, Caroline Kennedy will sit down with George Stephanopoulos for an exclusive live television interview TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 25 on “Good Morning America” (7:00-9:00 a.m., ET).

On September 25, Hyperion, in association with the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation, will release “Listening In: The Secret White House Recordings of John F. Kennedy” – a combination of a book and two CDs totaling 2.5 hours of original audio from the secret recordings.

Caroline had spent years out of the public eye as Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg, raising children, involved with the NYC school system. Then, someone had the idea that she could run for the U.S. Senate seat that was occupied by Hillary Clinton. Caroline on TV, being interviewed, looked as though her privacy was being invaded when she was being asked legitimate questions about world and national affairs. Then she, like Uncle Ted, endorsed Obama over Hillary for the 2008 Democrat ticket. Those of us who were alive before JFK was gunned-down in Dallas, remember John-John(RIP) and Caroline playing with their dad. Cute kids. Jackie Kennedy Onassis did not raise her children to be priviliged spoiled brats. JFK, Jr. rode a bike to work in Manhattan. But, years after Jackie’s death, Caroline decided that she was privilged and became a society darling. She may speak of her parents with Diane Sawyer, but I hoped that she learned her lesson and stays out of politics.
