    Considering Fox’s other problems, Glee will have a tough time not getting renewed. Especially if you count in it’s sales on iTunes and it’s other music revenue. I wouldn’t mind it being cancelled personally, but I really don’t see it going yet.

    I’m happy for Glee. Hopefully it starts leveling out and manages to bring in high ratings. I stopped watching after the first season, but i decided to watch the Season 4 premiere since i was watching the X Factor and had nothing better to do. And i was joyfully surprised. It seems like its starting to find its footing again. Granted, i watch mostly because of kate hudson.

    Good numbers for X Factor. Good thing it’s getting over that 10 million viewers margin. Its not smashing, but not flopping as well. Hopefully it continues to rise. I am still curious about whether its the show and the format that are turning viewers away, or if Britney is losing her popularity.

    I think the more interesting question concerning NBC is not whether or not it is dead on Thursdays (because it obviously is) but more relative to how close its Wednesday night ratings become of its Thursday ratings? They obviously got Monday and Tuesdays stabilized (for their standards at least) and the same could be said for Fridays with Grimm (even if the comedies is still a big if). Thursdays is a lost cause. Sundays they have footaball, at least for now. This means the big question mark is whether Wednesdays will be more similar to Thursdays or to Monday-Tuesdays? My guess? Thursdays

    Did NBC even air 1 repeat of UAN during the summer? You would almost assume it was cancelled.

    @were123, TVDude

    I don’t think NBC should move Go On from its Tuesday-at-9 time slot. Let the Thursday comedies play out this season, can them all (or move Parks to Fridays) and start fresh next season. Four new comedies and a new drama. Or better yet, a reality show at 8, a comedy block at 9 and a drama at 10…

  • omabin

    @SJ,

    I agree 100%. Inserting Go On in the middle of the mess that is the Thursday line-up would be killing it. I think their decision of giving up on the night for this year makes the most sense, they can’t rebuild it all at once. They did rebuild Fridays last year, this year they seem focused on Monday/Tuesdays/Wednesdays (even if I think Wednesday will flop massively), so next year they can do Thursdays from scratch (and Wednesday as well probably)

    never look at CW! The programs are stupid and made ??for children. In the new season, there is nothing interesting and fun.

    Good For X-FACTOR !!! Lovin this 10 Million !!!

  • were123

    @SJ
    I don’t think that they should either, I just say that they might probably considering how bad their situation is right now on Thursdays

    “my bets for next weeks glee is below 2.0 and i hope this awful show gets cancelled.”

    I wouldn’t bet too much if I were you. ;)

    Really!? People saying Grey’s and POI will destroy Glee? I REALLY doubt they share that much of an audience, Glee won’t be going anywhere, good for me, bad for the haters. Sorry.

    @ Nicholas R.,

    You can assume that all you want, it doesn’t make it true.

    The only way that you will know is by coming back every Friday to TVBTN!

  • Alex

    Wow at Up All Night, Community should definietly be in that spot, I mean Community could probably match or beat Up All Night on Fridays.

    Thursday Final Averages

    Million Viewers = 5.21 Million Viewers
    18-49 Demo Average = 1.6 Average

    I think Glee is going to have a hard time. Person of Interest and Grey are both fighting for 1 and they always end up in the 1,2 combo between them. I don’t see Glee ever getting those spots, so I suspect it will have to settle for the 3rd. I feel for Parks and Rec because I love that show but its getting the bad end of the deal with Glee, Grey and POI in its time slot. Tough crowd to be fighting at once.

    Can’t wait for Scandal, I do ship this show so hard and I want to keep going on; it really is a great show. From the reruns, I have a feeling it will be doing pretty good. Scandal is steady and I’ll take it.

    Last Resort will have that bad luck on its side but I’m going to tune it for the sake of the death slot. I hate that new shows get that spot. But I’m happy to see where it will go.

    Got no predictions for next week though I will say I’m looking out for elementary, I expect it to top Scandal for the premiere and maybe the second week because many will tune it for the sake of complaining but I fear it will get to many comparisons to the BBC one. Tough to live up too.

  • AO

    @ Bookworm,

    Don’t forget Beauty and the Beast!

    Can’t wait for Scandal,

    We know. ;)

    I do ship this show so hard

    That too.

    and I want to keep going on; it really is a great show.

    YMMV.

    But ABC did go out of their way to sell DVD’s this Summer (under $10 at least one week), so there could be new viewers for S2.

  • Travis

    Glee doesn’t have to beat Grey’s or POI; it just has to beat other FOX shows.

  • oscar

    Grey’s Anatomy tops the charts in january with 4.5 in demos (12.120 millions in viewers) in its 8th season!!! I want to see Glee doing that in its 8th season too… wait! Glee will never even have an 8th season… hahahahahhah.. Grey’s had in its fist three season more ratings than any show today.. deal with it!

  • Bookworm

    @AO
    I’m not a big Kristin Kreuk fan so I will have to see about that one.

    I do love Scandal.Hard to hold my excitement in! :D

    I don’t know about the price of the DVD’s being sold. I bought it at retail price and had a coupon inside to buy another copy for 10 bucks less. I know it was put onto NetFlix along with Revenge and OUAT.

    Always happy to hear there might be new viewers! I know a few more of my friends saw it on NetFlix a few weeks back and really liked it!!
