It's Opening Day! Which Broadcast Show Rates Highest on Opening Night? (Poll)

It's the first official day of the 2012-13 broadcast primetime TV season and all networks are airing originals tonight.  On the first night of the season, which show will rate the highest? I put all the shows from the big four in the option. Is it frakking crazy to have The Mob Doctor in the list? Of course it is! But some of our readers are frakking crazy and we strive to be inclusive!

Sure, I left the L.A. Complex off the list, but I'm optimistic that none of our readers are that crazy.  I also left off ESPN's Monday Night Football (Packers-Seahawks) which certainly could best everything on the broadcast networks. That's not to exclude sports fans -- it's just that the new season is really a broadcast networks thing. I know I'll be watching ESPN, but of the many benefits of living in California is the game will start at 5:30p and I'll have plenty of time to decide whether I'm Team-Castle, Team-Hawaii Five-0 or Team-Revolution at 10pm.  In reality, if I'm still awake by then I'll likely catch the Bones recorded earlier on the DVR, but still...

As far as a guess in the poll...I did a coin toss between The Voice and 2 Broke Girls, and 2 Broke Girls won out.

Expect an ABC Press Release tomorrow saying that “Dancing With the Stars” had a gazillion viewers and was the most watched show on TV last night. Even higher than “The Voice”. Lol…

I don’t get the last part. Dancing with the Stars will most likely be the most watched show tonight and will easily beat The Voice in total viewers…

Why are people putting H5O so low?

Hawaii Five-0 premiered with a 3.4 last season, out of a 7.1 lead-in from 2 Broke Girls, and had a 2.7 for its finale – so any guess around 3.0 is reasonable. There’s a good chance that Revolution will win the hour even if it has a 25% week-to-week drop.

No way in hell does ‘Hawaii 5-0′ beat ‘Revolution’ tonight, it’d have to be in the 4.0 territory to do that and I doubt it will. Not an ‘Hawaii 5-0′ hater nor am I a fan, just stating what will be made clear come tomorrow night (UK time)

@Ultima: Yes. In total viewers “Dancing” will be higher than “The Voice”. But the way they word their Press Releases makes it seem as if it was the highest rated show of the whole night. When we all know that the only thing that matters is A18-49 and “The Voice” beats it.

Voted 2 Broke Girls, but the Voice is beating it 37% to 24%

    GO CBS!

By using the phrase “most watched” instead of “highest rated”?

  • The End

Totally The Mob Doctor, Fox’s smash hit show, which premiered to out of this world numbers.

Of course, I’m kidding there, my time here has taught me that some people can’t detect sarcasm, so adding this in.

Anyway top 5 rated shows tonight(In my opinion)

    1. The Voice
    2. Dancing with the Stars
    3. 2 Broke Girls
    4. Revolution
    5. The L.A Complex

If someone questions point 5, shame on you.

lmao, you seriously think Revolution will be near a 4? I’m expecting a massive week to week drop.

I hope 2 Broke Girls wins the night. It’s my FAVORITE show! :D

  • OMG

I always like to associate myself with one of the “smart” people. But even though 2 Broke Girls is a trainwreck in terms of jokes, the acting by Kat Dennings is just spectacular.

2BG should get nice numbers , but The Voice should do better ,
As long as the CBS lineup gets decent ratings it should all be good.

  • Joseph A

Revolution should do well at 10pm, but not thinking its going to hit North of 4.0 , given the added competition and expected rating slide.
As for where the various series wind up by November , my guess is that Revolution will slide closer to 2.5 , that is unless the script we have not yet seen are more developed then the pilot.

  • Lisa

Castle won’t win but it is the only one I will be watching.

  • joss

bye bye The Voice wont miss ya

  • Hugh

Gotta be The Voice. Scripted top most likely Broke.

  • Emily

Think 2 broke girls will be top, reckon revolution is going to drop to mid-low 3’s and dancing with the stars high 3’s, but 2 broke girls should hit the 4’s
