@SP “Cut welfare 250 billion. How many people are going to be added to medicaid with Obamacare? Find a way to grow the economy. 2.3 trillion is roughly the amount we were bringing in, in 2008. Instead of raising taxes promote business growth. Some of the other cuts I would go along with except help for seniors.”

Hey, thanks for your input but cutting welfare by more than 50% in the first year would be kind of drastic. Many of those Seniors you don’t want affected actually receive food stamps. Also, I’m looking for a pln that incorporates both spending cuts and tax increases…it’s the only fair thing to do. We tried the Bush tax cuts for 10 years and they failed miserably. The reason I’m going with Clinton’s tax rates is because it worked well for our Country.

*Dow drops 100 after Fed official’s warning…Charles Plosser, president of the Fed’s Philadelphia branch, told an audience Tuesday that the Fed’s
effort to support the economy would likely fall short of its goals.

    – –

What Plosser said didn’t surprise me. He’s a fiscal hawk & not a fan of Bernanke’s policies. What surprised me was the steepness of the drop.

    @RealityChick / Letmethink

Soledad O’Brien completely offends me with her, combative ,sarcastic , (choke) interviews. Each & every time I’ve watched her, I’ve ended up sending a complaint letter to the Network, & , yes , I loved how foolish Sununu made her look.

Jordan on the brink: Muslim Brothers mobilize for King Abdullah’s overthrow
    – –
DEBKAfile Exclusive Report September 25, 2012,

Jordan’s Muslim Brotherhood has given King Abdullah II notice that he has until October to bow to their demand to transform the Hashemite Kingdom into a constitutional monarchy or face Arab Spring street pressure for his abdication.

Debkafile’s Middle East sources report that Israeli and Saudi intelligence watchers are becoming increasingly concerned about the approaching climax of the conflict in Amman between Islamists

President Barack Obama has a balancing act to resolve: On the one hand, the Jordanian king has long been a staunch American ally and friend, its mainstay in many regional crises. On the other, Obama regards the Muslim Brotherhood as the linchpin of his external policy of outreach to the Muslim world.

    – –

Chanel 212 on Dish has a two day documentary called ‘The Project’ on the Muslim Brotherhood starting tomorrow at 8 PM , ET.

SACRAMENTO, CA – Comcast has announced it is closing all three of its California call centers because of the negative business climate in the Golden State.

The move affects roughly 1,000 employees in Sacramento, Livermore and Morgan Hill, according to Comcast spokesman Bryan Byrd.

Two top senators on the Foreign Relations Committee don’t want to wait for the State Department to do its own investigation into the Sept. 11 attack in Benghazi that killed four Americans including Ambassador Chris Stevens; they want Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to show them Stevens’s diplomatic cables and other correspondence now.

Ralph you do not like reality.

Harry Reid is the Smothers character in Casino. The Pesci character Anthony Spillotro. One the worst homicidal manics in our history. The DeNiro character is Lefty Rosenthal. He won money as a player, very rare. He revolutionized gaming in Las Vegas.

I know my mob history. You guys would be disappointed if Sicilian Papa was just another white guy from Hartford Ct.

    Shutting the computer dowm.

Ralph, at times besides being a passive aggressive, you can be a smart aleck.

  • Sicilian Papa

Doug is that you? I always enjoy reading your posts and I have always found you to be a reasonable guy. Why the hostility?

  • Sicilian Papa

I like Ralph. I guess that is not popular around these parts. I also like DB, Jeff, suiko, Mark 1 and 2, Coffee, Hillbilly, Boss, d.d., Faith 3…

I pretty much like everyone unless they are totally unreasonable.

  • Sicilian Papa

The jury is still out on Wanda whoever she is or if she is he or he is a she.

  • Sicilian Papa

I post a mix of hardball politics, cultural stuff, humor, some of it bombs but some is mildly amusing. I try to be cheerful towards all. Am I a little over the top some times, yes, but I am like that in my life. I like talking with and meeting all of you. It enriches my existence and I learn a lot from you. We live in different parts of the country and have different ways yet we are a lot alike.

I do share some of my inner city culture with you. That is not an act. I really grew up in that world you see in the movies.

  • TheBoss1

@Ralph Hahn … Here’s the deal with respect to cable news ratings after the election … If Obama wins a second term, Fox’s ratings will go out the roof, as the haters will be out in full force. If Romney wins the election, MSNBC’s ratings will thrive, as the party out of power are much more vociferous than the party in power. If Romney wins, Fox News will be boring as they become mindless apologists for Romney. But MSNBC will be on the attack, and liberals/progressives will tune in to watch.

  • Coffee Steve

I hate to be Mr. Doom and Gloom but Bernanke’s policies, I feel is just trying to delay the inevitable. The whole economy is no longer consumer based driven. It’s being driven by false money flow. Consumers are putting any pocket money into their gas tanks, Home energy cost and now food.
Goods, electronics, Movie industries, Auto sales, etc. Have tanked. This cannot be sustained much longer.

    @Sicilian Papa
I really grew up in that world you see in the movies.

I did too, Cow and Horse poop, fishing, hunting, camping. :-)
