    @LeighLee, KEEP dreaming about the total viewership MEANING SOMETHING. LOL!, 2.1 is beyond AWFUL considering that this was a season premiere. I will bet anything that the Castle demo’s will decrease as the season goes on.

    @Aaron
    I personally don’t think H50 is going to go anywhere its already in syndication with TNT I think CBS would be smart to keep it around for at least one more season if not two. If ratings continue to look like they did last night of course.

    @Matthew
    Either way i will still be dissapointed as i was hoping for 6-7 Seasons and way its going atm def not gonna get that

    @TV-Viewer…I never said Wo-Fat is Steve McGarrett’s half-brother. I said he is his FATHER. Wo-Fat has been around too long to be his brother, although actor Marc Decascos who plays Wo-Fat looks a bit too young for both the part and the hinted-at plot reveal that he may be McGarrett’s father. Clearly, there is some sort of connection to Mommy Dearest Doris. I’m frankly insulted that the writers and producers of H50 would even assume this stupid idea would not be figured out by the fans.

    The real problem H50 has is that it keeps tinkering with a formula that didn’t need to be fixed. Stunning exterior imagery of Hawaii and a great core cast of 4 have been watered down by too little imagery of Hawaiian locales now and too many extraneous characters, not to mention too many ridiculous subplots. They added Max last year as a main cast member (despite hardly using him), and now they’ve added some new chick this year to be McG’s main squeeze. ENOUGH !! The viewers and fans don’t care about this crap! Get back to the core 4 with good drama set amid lush Hawaiian landscapes or kiss your show goodbye, and FAST! It’s a no-brainer!

    Well the Voice def took a bite out of CBS.

    Biggest loser of the night gotta be H-50. May be caught by the bear this year! Three years ago CSI Miami averaged a 3.8 in that slot.

  • adaaaannski

    Holy crap a 5.9 for the last 15 minutes of the voice, thats HUGE by today’s TV standards!

  • Tom

    @ Louise If Castle’s demo drops, it will be because the storyline shifts away from the “who killed Beckett’s mom” thread to another long series of one hour procedurals. I’ll give the writers credit though for finally bringing the two main characters together. Dragging that out much longer would have caused a lot of viewers to leave as happened with Gilmore Girls.

  • ivy

    1.8!!! What the hell happened to H50???

  • Aaron

    @Ivy
    Allot of people are also wondering that question.

  • DrainBamage

    @Louise – Hard to be shocked if you like both Bones and Castle. Bones did about as expected and Castle did a tad worse than expected, but NBC is the wild card here. MNF affected all about the same. The Voice has replaced DWTS and 2 1/2 Men as a heavy hitter so no surprise it hurt ABC and CBS harder than FOX. Also hurting CBS and ABC is that with the Voice being strong they got a good release for their 10pm show Revolution that FOX doesn’t even compete with.

  • Leondre

    That 5.9 was for The Voice’s final minute

    “I really see Grey’s doing about a 2.8 this week.

    As to OUAT and Revenge, I see OUAT doing a 2.5 or 2.6 with Revenge going down to a 2.2.”

    These predictions are absolutely crazy.

  • Ughhh

    I never saw two broke girls or mike and molly i guess it must be good if 10 million plus tune in to watch it. :/

  • Eridapo

    @DrainBamage,

    Actually Castle and Bones did the same on the live component of the ratings. Where Bones got the extra 2 tenths is on the SD component of the ratings. Both did a 1.8 on the live, but Castle did a .3 and Bones a .5 on the SD portion.

    This is normal per Nielsen figures. If you DVR a show at an earlier time, you are more than likely to watch it on the same night.

    “”programs that are broadcast at 8pm are more likely to be played back later the same day (57%), while those that air at 9pm and 10pm are less likely to be played back the same day (45% and 33%, respectively) and more likely to be played back later in the week.”

    @rob60990

    Call me crazy… HAHAHA….

  • Eridapo

    @DrainBamage

    MNF did start until 8:30PM Eastern, so the 8PM shows would not have been affected as much. If anything, Football only grew with each half hour. Therefore the 9PM and 10PM shows would have been impacted the most.

    How absurd that CBS wiki entry claims the network is the 2nd largest broadcaster in the world after BBC…

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CBS

    when the truth is, NBC is still America’s largest network of operated and affiliated networks, CBS is 2nd, ABC is 3rd, 4th is FPX and 5th is The CW.

  • Mr. Jones

    REPLACEMENT REFS = HUGE RATINGS!

    Roger Goddell saw these ratings and said hey these guys are bringing more people to football this season let me keep them. Smart move tough guy.

  • Mr. Jones

    @ PinoyTvCritic

    NBC is actually supposed to be the biggest North American based broadcaster as it reaches 110 million homes in a few different countries like Canada and Mexico.

    BBC does top at #1 as most service providers in the world have BBC on their lineups.

  • SherLOCKED (The Mighty Cringe)

    Wow…..CBS is shellacked by NBC……never thought I would say that.

    The voice is really hurting their Mon Night comedy block and Rev totally smashed H50(even though Castle won in viewers).

    Props to NBC…even though I don’t want H50, HIMYR, or 2BG killed by it…
