Sue Simmons Exclusive Interview Tonight on Current TV
On being let go after 32 years on air, the former WNBC anchor tells Joy Behar 'I cried every day'
In her first primetime interview since her departure from NBC 4 in New York, Sue Simmons, former news anchor for WNBC, tells "Joy Behar: Say Anything!" host Joy Behar about how she reacted when the local affiliate opted not to renew her contract after 32 years: “I cried everyday,” Simmons lamented. The 70-year old veteran anchor also talks to Joy about being replaced by a 37-year old woman, even though Simmons was still on top in the ratings, and how the salary figures the news media were throwing around were blown out of proportion.
