For Each Weeknight, Monday-Friday, Network Ranked #3 or Better among Both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34

Primetime Interviews with President Obama and Governor Romney Averaged 2.7 Million Total Viewers 2+, 1.4 Million Adults 18-49

Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights - Week of September 17, 2012 to September 23, 2012

 

  • Univision was the #5 network during primetime last week among both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49.

 

  • Univision out-delivered two or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on five out of seven nights last week among both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49.

ü  Based on the complete 2011/2012 season, Univision out-performed NBC during broadcast prime 71% of the time (262 out of 371 days) among Adults 18-34 and 50% of the time (185 out of 371 days) among Adults 18-49.

ü  Additionally, Univision out-performed ABC on 149 nights, CBS on 128 nights, and FOX on 111 nights among Adults 18-49. Furthermore, among Adults 18-34, Univision out-performed ABC on 246 nights, CBS on 278 nights, and FOX on 147 nights.

 

  • Univision kicked off the week on Monday as the #2 network among both Adults 18-34 and #3 among Adults 18-49, out-delivering ABC and CBS in both demographics.  Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 10 programs for Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49. 

 

  • On Tuesday night, Univision ranked #2 among Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49, out-delivering ABC and CBS in both demographics for the second consecutive night this week.  Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 10 programs for Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49.

 

  • On Wednesday night Univision ranked #3 among both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49.  Contributing to Univision’s success was the 10 p.m. “El Gran Encuentro Con El Gobernador Romney” (Big Meeting With Governor Romney), moderated by Jorge Ramos and Maria Elena Salinas.  The forum averaged 2.8 Million Total Viewers 2+ and 1.4 Million Adults 18-49.   Overall, Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 10 programs for Adults 18-34 and top 15 for Adults 18-49. Univision also held the #4 network position among Total Viewers 2+, beating ABC.

 

  • On Thursday, Univision ranked #2 among Adults 18-34 and #3 among Adults 18-49.  Contributing to Univision’s success was the 10 p.m.  “El Gran Encuentro Con El Presidente Obama” (Big Meeting with Barack Obama), moderated by Jorge Ramos and Maria Elena Salinas.  The forum averaged 2.7 Million Total Viewers 2+ and 1.3 Million Adults 18-49.   Univision’s 8P and 9P novelas ranked among the top 10 programs for Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49. Univision also held the #4 network position among Total Viewers 2+, beating ABC.

 

  • On Friday night Univision ranked #1 and #2 among Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49, respectively. Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 3 programs for Adults 18-34 and top 6 for Adults 18-49.  (“Abismo de Pasion” (Abyss of Passion) ranked #1 among both demographics.)  Univision also ranked #3 among Total Viewers 2+ on Friday night, beating NBC and FOX. 

 

  • Airing “Sabado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) Univision finished the night as the #6 network among both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49. “Sabado Gigante” increased its viewership from the previous week among Total Viewers 2+ (2.0 Million, +25%), Adults 18-34 (302,000, +10%), and Adults 18-49 (775,000, +30%).  “Sabado Gigante” also ranked among the top 10 programs among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-34, and Adults 18-49.

 

  • On Sunday night Univision ranked as the #5 network among both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49. At 8pm, “¡Mira Quién Baila!” (Look Who’s Dancing) increased prior week viewership among Total Viewers 2+ (3.4 Million, +1%) and Adults 18-49 (1.7 Million, +3%).  The talent competition also ranked among the top 10 programs for Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49.

 

  • At 8 p.m., Univision’s novela “Por Ella Soy Eva” (For Her, I’m Eva) helped Univision rank as the #3 network for the hour (M-F) among Adults 18-34 and #4 among Adults 18-49.  “Por Ella Soy Eva” delivered its highest weekly average since premiere week among Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49. “Por Ella Soy Eva” posted audience increases versus the previous week among Adults 18-34 (1.1 Million, +2%) and Adults 18-49 (2.2 Million, +2%).

 

  • Univision’s 9 p.m. novela “Abismo de Pasion” (Abyss of Passion) helped Univision rank as the #3 network for the hour (M-F) among both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49.  “Abismo de Pasion” delivered its highest weekly average since premiere week among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-34, and Adults 18-49. “Abismo de Pasion” posted audience increases versus the previous week among Total Viewers 2+ (4.6 Million, +2%), Adults 18-34 (1.1 Million, +6%), and Adults 18-49 (2.4 Million, +4%).

 

  • Univision’s 10 p.m. novela “Amor Bravio” (Fierce Love) helped Univision rank as the #2 network for the hour (M-F) among Adults 18-34 and #3 Adults 18-49. “Amor Bravio” delivered its highest weekly average since premiere week among Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49. The novela built its audience from the prior week and averaged 938,000 Adults 18-34 (+8%) and 1.9 Million Adults 18-49 (+3%).
