I’m really surprised by the Voice. It has a constant #1 this season. NBC should really celebrate the victory. Go On #’s so far are good, great if u know it is on NBC. However, i don’t think it will stabilize at this level. I didn’t like the show so far (didn’t see the 4th one yet). But i like Matthew Perry and i wish the best of luck.
NCIS is great!
Glad PP wasnt adjusted down. Those CW repeat numbers look weak.
@Andy
No, not really.
Nice to see NG and Ben and Kate up. Wish Mindy would have gone up as well.
@ Andy What’s going to happen with the CW? How about: No one will watch Nikita except in Europe. Beauty and the Beast will tank after three or fewer episodes. HOD will performs as badly as last season and Emily Owen won’t do any better. With the exception of TVD, all of last seasons other survivors will at best perform indifferently. That leaves Arrow which might draw an audience provided the scripts aren’t written for adolescent computer gamers and comic book collectors. In short, if you are expecting something special from the CW, make sure to have a backup plan.
Watched Mindy last night last time
WHOO! Happy that New Girl and Ben and Kate were adjusted up. I want them to stay strong so they can continue to live on.
@jt
I don’t think Fox is currently in any real danger, not to the degree of NBC. However their lack of development in areas is starting to show. At this point I’m not sure if Fox will be #1 this year and I don’t think they deserve to be either
Isn’t tonight Animal Practice on NBC? Bet it’ll make today’s NBC numbers look like CBS level.
@Wendy
you mean CW level?
1. FOX shouldn’t even be allowed to compete with the Big 3. They have 10PM content which drags the average down. CBS would have easily been # 1 the past few seasons.
2. ABC needs to have its new scheduling guru think of something new – and fast! Happy Endings and Apartment 22 will get buried by FOX & now NBC. I say move more of a family-friendly, broad sitcom hour of Last Man Standing & Malibu Country to either counter program at 8-9pm or 9-10pm. Opening the night with the two family-based sitcoms could help a sagging DWTS. ABC stop trying toi make your comedy brand “hip” and “affluent”, leave that to FOX & NBC.
@hope
No, I mean today’s numbers for Go On/The New Normal, even as down as they are thanks to Fox/CBS, will look like CBS numbers relative to NBC once AP airs.
I saw the sneak of AP and really wish I never had. Then again, watch it become a hit. To which I’ll just shake my head.
@jt
New girl only has to face go on this season because it will most likely replace the office on Thursdays..
Why would NBC move Go On if it is doing well on Tuesday?
NBC doesn’t have to run comedies on Thursday.
The 8pm New Girl did well considering it was a different timeslot but the 9pm episode underperformed. It should have been able to crack a 3. New Girl is not a tentpole sitcom like ABC has with Modern Family and CBS has(had) with Two & Half Men and NBC had with The Office. They still need another hit sitcom to help boost the night and Raising Hope surely isn’t it and by the looks of these premiere numbers, Ben & Kate or Mindy ain’t it either.
I hope ABC improves tonight. Been a rough week so far for them.
I enjoyed Ben & Kate more than Mindy but for now will stick with it. Ironic how B&K & DWTS get the same 2.1 demo & yet Dancing gets almost 3 times the audience total. DWTS could face the same fate as Harry’s Law if the 18-49 demo keeps dropping.
Excluding cbs, how many show scripted shows could break 3.0
Abc
once upon a time probably can DEPENDING ON THE FOOTBAL MATCHUP
Modern family will
grey anantomy
fox
new girl will
glee
the simpsons
nbc
the office finale
revolution
Fox is in more danger than any other network
@Parker
Frankly, I think ABC is making a huge mistake in holding off on waiting to air Apt. 23/Happy Endings. As much as I like Matthew Perry, even I don’t think Go On would be doing even half as respectably if it didn’t have the mega early jump. That allowed it to stay almost (after adjustments) neck and neck with New Girl. Maybe HE/Apt. 23 will be a surprise spoiler, but more likely, out of sight, out of mind if ABC waits so long.
I would say all in all given the competition those #s on Fox could have been worse. Nothing was DOA but there isn’t much room for any erosion either. Will be interesting to see how adding younger skewing shows HE/Apt 23 into the mix affects Fox
The only good comedies on FOX are:
New Girl(kinda)
Family Guy
The Simpsons(this show is still on?)
EVERYBODY WATCH NASHVILLE WEDNESDAY OCT. 10 AT 10/9C ON ABC!!!
@rob60990 wtf? IT IS A TENTPOLE CONSIDERING WHAT I JUST POSTED.
Not many other shows are breaking high 3.s….New girl build a audience during the years just like what how i met your mother did.
