Tonight, ABC is premiering Last Resort at 8PM, which has been playfully coined as ABC's "death slot" (No shows in that timeslot have gone on to a second season since 2009). However, Last Resort has been receiving some pretty aggressive promotion since the end of the fall season, which may have at least put it on some viewers' radar. We've already asked how many episodes you think Last Resort will air, but do you think Last Resort will at least get some eyeballs for its debut? Keep in mind it is going up directly against The Big Bang Theory and The X Factor...

I think the premiere will average a 2.5 rating among adults 18-49. And it is going up against ‘The Big Bang Theory’ and ‘The X Factor’, it has no chance to do more.

  • Anon

2.1-2.6, the upper end of the range.

ABC wants that BBT audience to see this; why else repeat the premiere again on Friday night?

  • Adrian

    2.1-2.6

This show is too intelligent to succeed on network TV.

  • Pat

    @Adrian

I whole heartedly agree with your cynical statement. I hate the general tv audience’s intellegence.

i think premiere between 2.7-3.3 but will drop off a lot. Shawn Ryan is cursed.

  • iggy

it is going up against juggernauts
    too intelligent

I’m going to win this round of Fan Excuse Bingo before the show premieres!

  • DKD

Like the Revolution pilot, this is a show that may build with Live + 3 and Live + 7.

My heart says “2.7-3.3.”, but my head says the next lower range.

  • Percysowner

I really can’t decide. Based on critical reviews, it could come out the door really high. The competition is hard, which could pull it down. OTOH, I don’t know if the concept will catch people. I say that because it didn’t catch me originally, the the reviews got me to put it on DVR, but I’m not certain if I’ll ever bring myself to watch it. I’m going to guess 2.1-2.6 due to critical review, but it could do way better or way worse.

  • Dan

Its gonna flop. It wont do as bad as Charlie’s Angels or My Generation but against Big Bang and X Factor it will do badly.

  • still good shows on tv

    I think at least a 3.0

  • KarenM

    2.5

  • Martin

will rival Revolution in at least demo for 1st episode, don’t know about hold though. Revolution will beat it though. I would say premiere will get mid to high 3.0s, 3.8 is my guess, think total viewers will be high enough though, seems like a show older people would like.

And yeah it goes up against The X Factor and the BEAST that is TBBT, but people have up until 3.a.m to watch all the shows, so think it will do okay though.

Whether it holds up , like Lost, or falls like FlashForward, is to be seen though.

  • Leondre

    Elementary?

  • omabin

    2.2 is my guess.

  • Alan

    2.3 – 2.5

  • ethan

i think a 3.1…im not sure i get all the gloom and doom in regards to this shows ratings…it has been well promoted, is has likeable leads, andre braugner has something of a built in following, and i think its a highly interesting concept…it may be a tough timeslot, but i would imagine its fanbase would be very different than that of the CBS comedies, and the X factor…i think it steadies out around a 2.3-2.5, and performs similar to revenge last year

  • ABCFanatic2012

This is gonna be a hit!

    higher than 3.5!

  • FlorianN

You’re dreaming. It can’t be a hit in front of CBS’s ‘The Big Bang Theory'(4.8-5.6 rating among adults 18-49), that’s impossible (and there is ‘X-Factor’ too, but that’s “only” a 3.0 rating).

  • Baqinardo

    It’ll tie XFactor.
And i think tomorrow for the first time this season XF hits below 3.

  • Kyle7

My irrational hope for it says it’ll be a huge premiere. My logical side really doesn’t know, so my hopeful side’s vote of 4.0+ gets in.

  • Guardian Owl

Charlie’s Angels premiered 2.1 in the slot, Missing premiered 2.0 in the slot. Pilot was quality (already aired online so that removes some of the viewers), but it’s up against the BBT and X-factor. 2.3
