You can see TV ratings from other recent Overnight ratings reports here.

Definitions: Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    Nashville wasn’t on last night

  • Steph

Criminal Minds was good last night. I don’t get the hype with Modern Family. I didn’t find it very funny.

  • were123

I’ll correct my previous post, it was a 2.7 rating fall for Animal practice xD

  • s0303

nbc need to pull 4 of the horribly performing comedies (take your pick) and bring the biggest loser back early…

glad criminal minds lost a whole point…it’s horrible…

svu did good considering its lead ins…the middle really good also.

X Factor is holding up well because there’s hardly any competition unlike The Voice which has been CONSISTENTLY on top killing Monday and Tuesday rivals which include NCIS, How I Met Your Mother, Dancing With the Stars, 2 Broke Girls, New Girl among others. And take note, it has never tipped below the 10 million mark in viewership this season while X Factor can HARDLY hit a 10 million with less competition.

Seriously. I am taking for granted the lack of cw talk. While the network flirts with pulling in 0.0 ratings half the daily
Comments will be about cw. Monday is our only respite.

  • Hubert

Kind of worried about CBS; PoI and 2BG are the only shows of the future. As for the first one, net did a lot to improve it, but they had thrown 2BG among two satellite lead-in depending comedies. I still think they should make the crossover with TBBT and air it after Super Bowl.

  • SVU: The Revolution

I feel so sorry for Joanna Garcia, she picked two duds in a row. I watched Animal Practice and I didn’t laugh not one time, but I did laugh at Guys With Kids (which would make a good 8 tv shield leading into Whitney).

  • Chris

@jRobnyc–Animal Practice is made just a few doors down from Community, and feels very similar to me. I was looking up stuff about the monkey on the show, and they mentioned that she’d been on Community, and could easily return for a guest shot there, since the shows are filmed in the same building.

Why is it hard for you to believe a network sitcom could be less than sublimely written? NBC hasn’t premiered a good sitcom since The Office.

actually X Factor doesn’t really go down. It’s certainly kind of erratic but the general trend is pretty stable (after the first couple of eps of season 1 which were the exception). The season 1 finale was the show’s highest rated episode.

Plus in the UK the show generally grows as the series progresses…

Will be interesting to see what happens this year. I think the show is better this season – so who knows?

    @ omabin

ABC never greenlighted AP, NBC did

  • Oliver

GWK is obviously not long for this world, but they might keep it around for a few weeks until they launch a mid-season replacement.

  • Mon

I agree that The Neighbors is so bad and ridiculous it’s hilarious. Maybe that’s the point? ABC won’t know what would work unless they try it. Will watch again next week.

  • Josh

Animal Practice and Guys With Kids will be gone soon.

Very very pleased with Modern Family’s ratings. Thoroughly deserved. However, The Neighbors did not deserve those numbers. Hopefully when finals are released it gets lowered.

Criminal Minds and CSI debuted soft… hopefully they gain in weeks to come. I quite liked their respective episodes.

X Factor holding strong. Possibly the only FOX show getting higher ratings recently.

  • Jeff

Did anyone think the Middle was just plain BORING.I’ve watch that show from the start and thought it was ok. Something on tip Modern Family came on. But this. The story line was terrible.Trying to learn a lesson about summer. The kid act totally clueless. The youngest is getting to old to act like that. Modern Family was better but not up to par with the normal writing. The Neighbors was funny. It could last awhile.

  • rick

Aging shows? America is an aging country. Get over it.

  • Alex

Neighbors was horrible (quality, we’ll see how it does rating wise). Should replace it with Family Tools. Not for sure what could replace it on Tuesday after Dancing with the stars ends. maybe they can find another new comedy or show modern family repeats.

Survivor should be bumped up .1 like usual. Making it only down .1
Not bad compared to previous seasons premiere and 2nd episode:
    One World: 3.1 – 2.8
    South Pacific: 3.4 – 3.2
    Redemption Island: 3.2 – 3.1
    Nicaragua: 4.0 – 4.0
    Heroes vs Villains: 4.5 – 3.9

  • Flame

Tebow Monkey was just hilarious. Oh well, I’ll enjoy it while it lasts.

    @ MON

CBS won every half hour last night, so didn’t they also shine (brightly) on Tues?

  • Seth

Am I the only one who liked The Neighbors? It’s something different finally.

Will any NBC comedies be above a 2.0 rating by year’s end?
