I was really hoping Guys With Kids would’ve adjusted up
I’m surprised no one’s wondered this aloud yet, but will Arrow beat AP next week? I think it might.
X Factor is doing amazing against stiffer competition. I think as long as other talent competitions are out of the picture it will be okay and even against The Voice the demo was still over a 3.
Good to see Guys with Kids go up a bit in viewership.
Glad The Middle can beat the much over hyped New Girl in viewers and demo.
Wednesday Final Averages
Million Viewers = 7.82 Million Viewers
18-49 Demo Average = 2.4 Average
@ Rams510
It would’ve been great to see a 1.7 but that 1.6 is rock solid. It might be better that GWK turned out to be better in the demo than in viewership because I definitely thought this would be an older-skewing comedy before it came out.
I’m not worried about CSI’s future. It’s certain to be renewed for season 14 (it’s has the same ratings as Vegas and if CBS wants to Cancel a show it will be it). Plus CSI: NY is more likely to be canceled. This year The Good Wife, Partners (CSI: NY and Vegas ?) and Rules of Engagement are the show with the more cancelation chances. That’s why CSI will continu for years !

There’s a 0% chance of that happening. Primarily because Arrow isn’t on next week…
Honestly everyone, not to rain on anybody’s parade, because I’m rooting for both Animal Practice and Guys With Kids, but even though it grew out of its lead-in, a 1.6 still isn’t good for a 2nd episode. But, my guess is that Whitney will move to Wednesdays at 8, and they will order a full season for Guys With Kids, and pair it after Whitney. Due to strong rerun ratings, Whitney will proabably get renewed for a third season, while Guys With Kids will get cancelled, and another ratings loser multi-cam show will be paired with the ok-solid Whitney.
Really happy for The Middle! It was almost a 3! And to think it was a borderline show in its first season, now it’s a hit!
I thought Neighbors wasnt that bad. It made me laugh more than some of the other crap that is on. I think it has potential at least for a few seasons.
One of the key factors for Whitney getting renewed was that the home studio (Universal) produces the show. Chelsea was produced by Warner Bros. so it was expendable. I just checked Guys with Kids and its with the home studio too which gives it a favorable chance to comeback to season 2 as long as it doesn’t completely bottom out in the ratings and maybe performs like Whitney did last year not like Chelsea.
Where is Person Of Interest (Peter)? Today is the big day for your favorite show, hope it does well for you.
I think people are being far too critical of the ratings of returning shows, whatever about the new shows, one week of bad ratings, even premiere ratings, isn’t an indicator of failure, i’m going to hold my judgement until at least next weeks ratings to decide on what i think about the ratings for:
Partners
2BG (expected higher)
Hawaii 5-0
DWTS
Vegas
DWTS Results Show
Ben And Kate
The Mindy Project
New Girl (expected higher)
The Neighbours (which actually did okay but different timeslot)
Criminal Minds
CSI
Animal Practice
Guys With Kids
Would love to see what those new shows do next week.
I wonder if AP will be on in 2 weeks when Arrow finally does premiere. It’s a safe bet Whitney will relocate to Wed before it’s scheduled Fri season premiere next month. With the audience watching next weeks Presidential debate fragmented among various networks I’m curious if Supernatural can win in it’s new Wed time period ?
On a side note, what do others think CBS will broadcast behind the Super Bowl this year, i think either 2 episodes of 2 Broke Girls or one episode of 2 Broke Girls plus some other half hour comedy.
Ideas??
@Bill and @Robert
@calibadger :: tv hack musing #2: no network i know of sells retention. and while i’m at it, calling 1849 “the” demo is misinformed.
Your take on this?
@Dan S
It wont win but it will certainly do better than last seasons final episodes, i’d say maybe 0.8 or 0.9 and maybe over 2 million.
But will definitely go up the following week with Arrow premiere as a lead-in.
@Fish
I thought The Neighbors was funny as hell, but I think that it will be lucky to last one season.
