“I really feel these type of shows work best when seen only once a year (see Survivor, BigBro, and Amazing Race).”

    – huh? survivor and amazing race air 2 cycles per year.

  • healthy

Unless Community airs behind SNL or The Voice there’s not a better lead-in that it has right now than Whitney.

  • Mike

Brandon Tartikoff must be rolling over in his grave at NBC’s Thursday numbers.

  • scratcher base

Please put Up All Night out of its misery NBC and cancel it now. It’s actually messing with your weekly average rating that low.

  • Ultima

simpsons is being inflated by the nfl……new girl is going it solo

Meh. Ratings are ratings, I choose not to punish shows for having a good lead-in.

Also, Family Guy was beating New Girl in the spring last year, long after football ended.

I can’t imagine 130+ million people sitting down and watching the flinstones.

But you can imagine them tuning into a show which can’t even draw in six million viewers for new episodes?

a little late, but the 18-49 quarter hours for Elementary were: 3.4,3.1,3.0,2.9 There was a minute of overun of Person of Interest and that minute was a 3.0.

  • Vance

@Tony, I have to agree. Fox’s scripted average is quite low and Glee’s current numbers are pretty much make it a shoe-in for renewal. I find the show quite hard to watch though, but that doesn’t really matter.

  • jT

    @eddy A lot actually

Last resort 18-49 quarter hours: 2.1,2.1,2.2,2.6 so definitely a little early tune-in for Grey’s.

  • joel

Like I said before, burn off Scandal at 8pm, move Last Resort to 10pm where it can win the time slot.

  • jT

@ultima i see you’re one those animation funimation delusional fans.

  • Dan S

I’m going out on a limb & forecast that Last Resort will in fact get a full season. It has the potential to grow even in its current slot & had to go head to head with established hit shows on CBS & Fox as a self starter. Whereas Scandal the lead out from GA performed less well going against weaker competition. I feel bad for P&R getting buried in that train wreck on NBC & keep hoping it might get moved to another night in a more favorable slot.

  • Raykov

GA is the best rated drama for the week – with epic episodes like this one, they deserve the raitings.

  • jT

family has been on for 10 season, so there goes your reason.

  • Petar Ivanov

    @eridapo who just said:

If I were NBC, I would see how Revolution performs over the next six weeks. If it holds in the 3s, I would be very tempted to move it to Thursday and use it to anchor the night…..

It is crazy, but sometimes it is a risk you have to take….

ME: I like you. I really do. You are strange guy with genius or crazy ideas and theories. Not remmember who was said: “There’s a fine line between genius and insanity”. This give you such color and trademark. But in this case think you are wrong. Right now everything is perfect for RVN! Amazing premiere, best lead-in to protect the show, a lot of ads, competition in big decline which will drop more in next months. Too big gamble in wich you can kill your best option for hit drama from many years. Not look genius for me. But like that you try to think big.

  • Ram510

Yeah this makes Guys With Kids numbers look okay. It didn’t better than UAN and tied P&R. With not publicity GWK could be a solid performer for NBC.

Oooh Scandal I wish you had higher ratings, looks like these are the last 13 episodes of this series. Sad cause Kerry Washington and crew are great!

  • rob60990

So much for POI adjusting up.

Grey’s is a beast but I’m expecting a massive drop next week. What an awful premiere. I hated how they made it look like Arizona was dead the whole episode. If it wasn’t for that, I probably would have enjoyed the episode more.

Scandal is pathetic and lol at the poster who says a 1.8 would be good enough for a renewal. Are you kidding? A 1.8 after your number 1 drama
    show is pathetic.

NBC should be grateful The Office was steady vs last week. The rest of the night is just a mess.

  • Kissan

Which network has the Superbowl in 2013 again?

  • Ultima

I think Fox will go with the reboot of The Flintstones as well

They have the NFC Championship in primetime as well, and could launch a Monday drama out of that.

Also, unless they burn off The Cleveland Show (by scheduling it every single week or during the summer), they’ll have a few episodes left to fill up the 7:30p slots in Fall 2013.

  • Cameron

Nobody cares about comedy on NBC on Thursdays. Mostly TV critics and Emmy voters watch. It’d be cheaper if they casts just toured cities and performed the episodes to an audience.
