I wondered how long it would take for someone to pull out the old Fringe standard you’re just not smart enough excuse.
I actually don’t think Fringe will get pulled, but anything is possible when a show performs so embarrassingly terrible as this dead duck. The audience definitely isn’t “select” in any way shape or form, but it sure is shrinking. Going… going… going… (nearly) gone. As it should be given the nature of the product.
I can’t believe people here are actually saying they will pull Fringe, really? They gave it 13 episodes to conclude and it will conclude and stay on Friday. The same treatment NBC gave chuck and I think it did worse than this.
Hope Shark Tank stays in the range it’s in now. Can’t imagine anything yet to premiere at 8 will be that competitive.

You’re speaking no sense what so ever. Infact nothing mentioned has any basis in reality.
There’s more chance of Fox giving Fringe a 6th season than there is the show being pulled off the air.
Fox didn’t renew the show for the ratings. They gave the show a 5th season for the fans.
I suppose it’s worth mentioning I made the above comment before reading page 2, in which the poster tries to back peddle a bit on what he originally said.
Last Resort repeated well for a Friday
@The End
No back peddling. I just said that ratings always matter, and if they sink low enough Fox might pull the show. Stranger things have happened in the TV business. Another poster suggested this might only occur if the numbers sunk to 0.6, which isn’t impossible given the low premiere score this season. I do not think the show will be pulled, but my point was that numbers and profits matter always. If FOX thought they were losing too much (more) money on this ghastly program they might leave the rest of the episodes for DVD release – or switch up the scheduling as someone mentioned earlier.
Grimm is still growing strong and getting stronger
CBS was adjusted up in viewers but not on Adults 18-49 ?
I am amazed the doctors let BobbyDazzler take off the safety mittens long enough to type his moronic drivel.
so even in repeats XFactor gets adjusted up
@ Dean-W
Quite frequently–CBS is the old folks home!
LONG LIVE FRINGE!!!!
@Will
Where’s the drivel in alerting fans that ratings always matter? It’s absurd to think they don’t – at any stage in a show’s run. Then again, as someone else mentioned, S5 was a gift for the fans…
If you believe that, then… yeah, whatever.
Point is, in regards to Fringe, the ratings do not matter anymore. It will finish its run no matter what happens.
Except if the power goes out worldwide(See Revolution). Mostly our point.
