University of Phoenix is Title Sponsor for Season One

NEW YORK, October 1, 2012 -- Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, Inc. (NYSE: MSO) today announced that J.C. Penney Company, Inc.(NYSE: JCP) is the presenting sponsor for the forthcoming PBS television series, “Martha Stewart’s Cooking School” and will support the show for its first and second season. The University of Phoenix will serve as the show’s title sponsor for season one.

The new teaching series, produced by MSLO and inspired by Martha Stewart’s bestselling book of the same title, will debut on PBS stations nationwide beginning the weekend of October 6th and 7th, 2012 (check local listings). The program will be presented in association with PBS station WETA Washington, D.C. “Martha Stewart’s Cooking School” is a culinary master class in the art and science of cooking. Each 30-minute episode will feature Martha demonstrating classic cooking techniques and basics. Using her signature, step-by-step, how-to teaching process, Martha will illustrate the building blocks of recipes everyone should know (from roasting to poaching to braising and blanching). Viewers will have Martha by their side instructing them how to select the very best ingredients, how to make the perfect pot roast, how to pan sauté a whole fish, how to make stocks and why they're essential to making sauces and delicious soups. In addition, every episode will feature Martha imparting tips and tricks, inspiring and educating home cooks everywhere.
