Definitions:
Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.
Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.
Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)
Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

@ Max
what do you mean by revenge did meh???
how is 3.2 meh???
ONCE UPON A TIME ROCKSSSSSS!
Very happy with the numbers for OUAT and Revenge. Solid for both. Read the headline and expected a disaster.
That’s low for TAR!
Totally forgot about “666.” I wanted to at least check out the first few minutes. Oh well, looks some others forgot about it too.
The Simpsons still got a 3.7 ! ( I know, thank football )
Did the Packers game really run over that much?
Revolution #1 new drama still.
Good night for ABC! CBS…Meh.
WOW, Revenge and OUAT barely down from last year’s premieres and WAY up from their finales. Great job ! I expected more from 666 Park Avenue and too bad for The Good Wife, now I only hope that even though they’ll have enough episodes for syndication at the end of this season, CBS will give it a 10-episode final season, just to provide a fitting ending (and the 100-episode-landmark) to a great show.
What were the rating for The Last Resort compared to 666 Park Avenue ? If ABC had to choose one to keep and one to drop who would get the reprieve ?
I agree with Holly. Mentalist and Good Wife should be traded. A lot of people I know watch Revenge and Good Wife…and choose Revenge to watch, even tho they love TGW aswell. They share the same audience..Revenge and Mentalist don’t I’d assume
CBS shows are skewing even older than last year!
REVENGE did better than it’s last season’s average and better than the finale. In fact it was the 2nd highest rated episode of the series (since the pilot). So it did very well.
@John_M: The Good Wife no doubt indexes very well with high income viewers, and has been an Emmy nominations magnet (even if it didn’t do well with wins this year). Also, it had more viewers than Revenge (though little more than 1/2 of that show’s 18-49 demo). But I think this is a terrible time slot.
So tired of this red john non-sense that’s been dragged on year after year on mentalist.
Revene preformed better then it did on wednesdays, wasnt revenge averaging a 2.5 demo and like 7 million viewers?
ABC should be happy with OUAT and Revenge. 666 is off to a rocky start and doesn’t have much room for the post premiere decline that most new shows go through.
What were the rating for The Last Resort compared to 666 Park Avenue ? If ABC had to choose one to keep and one to drop who would get the reprieve ?
What makes one think it would be an either or proposition if both stink in the numbers?’
I agree with Holly. Mentalist and Good Wife should be traded. A lot of people I know watch Revenge and Good Wife…and choose Revenge to watch
How many of those people have nielsen boxes?
How in the hell did the Mentalist do so poorly. Mentalist fans, START WATCHING IT!!
Great for Revenge! I thought it would be higher, but it was PRETTY HIGH if you compare it to May’s ratings.
