RVN rulzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
NBC are BIG winner!!!
I think that ONLY NBC take gamble and risk with some new shows not name cops, legal or soapy. They still have even dracula and pirates some kind of shows. Also Hannibal. That is why they are winning. All other networks are afraid for taking these gambels. CBS even in friday go with legal drama come on.
Doubtful on Castle going anywhere, except maybe moving days. It’s got the same ratings as basically all of ABC’s other 10pm shows and it has way more vierwers. It skews older but it’s still the most watched scripted show of the night.
Monday winner is NBC.
CBS strong Mondays are gone.
A25-54 for scripted hour dramas
Bones 2.4
The Mob Doctor 1.2
H50 2.5
Revolution 3.7
Castle 2.6
It’s so insane to me that Castle is the most-watched scripted show on Mondays (by far, I might add), yet its demo numbers do not match its popularity. I mean, really, 1.9?! I know it’s not really that far off from its average last season but it seems so crazy that Castle has 2 million more viewers than Revolution (and no offense to that show or its fans…I’m just using it for comparison purposes), yet Revolution’s demo number is so much higher than Castle’s. The disparity is absolutely mind-boggling to me. I get what the demo means and all that business but I just don’t see how it’s an accurate way of measuring a show’s success anymore…especially not now that there are so many other ways to watch our favorite tv shows (DVR, iTunes, online, etc). It really does seem to be a convoluted and outdated system for rating shows. Am I completely off base here?
The CW should add more concert specials to there lineup..perhaps when the shows go on winter/summer hiatus. Obviously Mob Doctor will be cancelled but what does FOX have on deck to replace it?
Once the A25-54 are taken into account, both H50 and Castle look much better.
Oh, CBS, get rid of that dragger-down Partners. The sooner you feel it with anything the better.
@eridapo
Thanks for posting the 25-54 numbers. I know they don’t “count” for anything (just like total number of viewers somehow doesn’t “count” for anything) but it’s just interesting to see how different the numbers are for this age bracket than they are for the magical 18-49 bracket. This whole ratings system is just so infuriating and upsetting to me.
Saying that episode 2 of Partners was better than the pilot has to win the award for most back-handed compliment ever. Yeah, it was better than the pilot, nearly impossible to do worse.
This show needs to go.
@ Elena
No, I don’t think so. I think a number of people would agree with you. A lot shows have high total viewership number but low demos. I think it’s kind of stupid to say that people over a certain age won’t spend money on things..my mom spends way more money on random crap than I do!
Sadly, the networks haven’t adopted a better way of looking at ratings.
Glad Bones tied DWTS.
@eridapo
Why i am hering more and more for this A25-54 demo? What is going on. WIll it metter for the future now or what? Please explain if you know or anybody from Tv by the numbers. Thanks.
happy to see Hawaii five-0 doing better 2nd place not so bad, i see that all the shows are struggling a bit this year no good debuts till now hope the middle of the year will be better specially for my fav show H5.0 its really worth watching has some great stuff going on this year very spicy storyline
& a very interesting guest stars list
Fill* it, LOL.
Castle’s back in last place–and it’s not done dropping. We’ll see series-lows this season. These may not be cancellation #’s–yet–but they sure as hell are “move it out of that timeslot” #’s.
Fridays would suit it just fine.
Castle’s numbers look like a CBS procedural’s.
@eridapo–pity 25-54 isn’t the demo ABC cares about, as a look at their primetime schedule clearly demonstrates.
