The only reason Simpsons is high because of football. Without it, it will crash. Mark my words
DAMN for TGW and The Mentalist
YAY for Once Upon a Time.
My guess is TGW is given a final 13- episode season next year (ala Chuck and Fringe)
I’m surprised no one has mentioned that TM is probably already renewed for season 6. One of the writers accidentally let it slip last year. I’m assuming it was part of the deal (move to Sunday and be guaranteed 2 more seasons… so I’m fairly confident TM is safe for at least another year.
@Laura…..I heard ‘The Mentalist’ was guarranteed a sixth season by CBS as well. Thank heavens!
@ Bee
I agree. I just knew that 66 Park was going to come out big. As I mentioned before, it had the Sunday night promotion ABC was pushing heavily with OUAT and Revenge. It also had those Lexus commercials I was seeing all summer and ad’s all over YouTube, Yahoo and other websites. Plus, the stars include Vanessa Williams and Terry, they are both pretty big on ABC since most love Vanessa from Ugly Betty and Desperate Housewives and Terry from Lost.
I can’t explain why it came out flat. This one doesn’t make much sense for me.
666 Park Avenue 2.1 is great news for LAST RESORT!
TGW is just about my favorite show, even if it is about a bunch of Chicago Democrats. Unfortunately, those numbers are looking like Alicia and Co. might not be around next year.
Seems like I heard the same story being repeated on this page about The Mentalist getting a two season commitment for moving to Sundays. Personally, I really enjoyed the show for the first couple of seasons. Then Patrick “killed” Red John; somehow didn’t go to prison,……The absurdity has kept coming. Some of PJ’s tricks are beginning to be repeated. The writing is foundering. The program is beginning to show some age.
Both shows fared better in their original timeslots. Unforgettable didn’t last in TGW’s old slot. Already there is negative talk about Vegas. Maybe Tuesday at ten just isn’t going to be the slot for high demos. CBS could probably have saved some money and development costs by leaving TGW where it started.

No such deal has been announced. And I’d doubt it’s a fact.
TM season 6 renewal was tweeted by one of the writers last year. You can read it here (http://www.vingle.net/posts/17169)… Everything she gas posted has been accurate in the past. I just don’t think she was supposed to spill the beans yet

However ‘unlikely’ or ‘unconfirmed’ that Mentalist Season 6 (and maybe 7) renewal story is, I still have more faith in what a writer/executive producer said over someone out of the loop. She had no reason to say it if it’s not true and I doubt someone that high up could be so misinformed.
This has been backed up again a few days back, when Dove Cameron, an actress you’ll see in a very important role on The Mentalist next week (no spoilers from me!) said that when she was on set she was told by the A.D. they’d been confirmed through to Season 7, which is exactly where Bruno Heller has said he wants to end the show. This may be a bit more creaky than the writer saying it, but it seems odd that there’s so many people connected with the show saying the same thing…unless it’s true.

@Woody, Tealz87,
Sorry, I’m calling BS on those “reports”. That’s not to say The Mentalist won’t be renewed, but renewal news for shows like that does not fly under the radar. That was reported nowhere in the TV media and there was no press release from CBS. That’s not how things work.
Believe whatever you’d like though.
