via press note:
With the final national ratings in from last night, The CW’s special broadcast of the iHeartRadio Music Festival (8-10pm) gave the network its most watched night (1.2M) and best night in A18-34 (0.6/2) and A18-49 (0.6/1) since 5/18 (Friday night season finales).
Versus The CW’s season opening night last year, featuring the Gaga by Gaultier special (9/12/11), the iHeartRadio concert was up two tenths in A18-34 and A18-49 (0.6 vs 0.4), and was up 14% in total viewers (1.2M vs. 1.05M)

You should do a Hart of Dixie poll.
Says a lot.
Great news.
If this aired on any other network it would have gotten much, much better ratings. No one watches The CW, no matter what they air.
Well The Vampire Diaries finale did better than, say, Mob Doctor.
Nick’s right
People don’t watch the CW, which I think is a terrible shame! The network has some great quality shows mainly popular on the internet (mostly even more than shows on other networks). It’s just unfair how underrated this network is.
The CW has such a negative reputation that viewers don’t seem to give anything a chance regardless of quality..which is ashame. The only series this season that stand a chance would be ARROW and/or The Carrie Diaries.
Good Job CW. I think that’s an awesome accomplishment. They’re Pedowitz is a smart man.
I agree, The CW has so awesome series that people need to check out. IE Supernatural and I’m sure Arrow will be awesome too!
OMG a 0.6 rating! That is so impressive and worthy of a Press note!
But in all seriousness, I expect 0.6 to be the new standart for CW. So this is ok for them, I reckon.
I know this is a stupid question but what exactly does it mean when it shows 0.6/2? sorry but im trying to figure it out and I’m just stupid I guess. why would that be better than 5/18? thank you

0.6 is the adults 18-49 rating, the % of US adults 18-49 in TV households (0.6%) that watched the show on average. The 12 is the share, that’s the percentage of adults 18-49 that were actually watching TV at the time that watched the show on average.
Lots more here. http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/demystifying-the-s/
What kind of ratings will it take for the CW to go HD? I’m guessing it has to do with money. Better ratings = more money. If not money what drives the decision? I want to watch Arrow & Nikta in HD.

All the CW network shows are HD, it’s either your local affiliate (but I’d be surprised if they didn’t broadcast in HD), but far more likely your cable or satco provider is the problem.
@Bill Gorman
Thanks for the info.
I got Direct TV & CW is channel 19. (i think it’s out of Pittsburgh) It’s not HD nor is channel 394. I’ve never watched it on 394 so don’t know where it broadcast from.
With regard to the 0.06 worthy of a press release? It’s all relative and for CW I’m glad they issued the press release. Personally, I LOVE televised concerts and these acts were awesome and appealed to a wide audience.
