Definitions:
Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.
Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.
Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)
Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

@kate
LMAO because a show won’t get renewed(according to you)? Seriously? If you’re still in high school, you’re excused.
This lineup may be CBS’s lowest rated sitcom lineup ever. 2BG is putting up the lowest 9:00 anchor numbers for CBS, ever. HIMYM is way down from last year. Partners is done, and Mike and Molly is dependent on its lead, which 2BG is not giving it much of a lead in. CBS is in big trouble on Mondays.
All channels in the UK apart from a few (BBC has no adverts because it is government supported) are supported by ad revenue!
And so far the BBC makes the best shows (I must admit I’m VERY pissed there was no second series of Trinity – that show was AWESOME – absolutely awesome)
Didn’t realize how much ad supported tv had evolved – then again – it’s the UK – not tons of money to be made
surprised revolution held up that well…i want to like it, but it’s just hasn’t been very good so far…
shocked how low dwts has dropped…it’s could be in the 1′s next week :O
@Petar,
I think NBC must think where they can move RVN THIS season. I mean in 8 or 9 pm.
I don’t think NBC is even considering moving it this season…and maybe not next season. It’s doing really well and there is no reason to ruin that by messing around with the schedule.
@Josh:
Where did you see those half hours?
FOX renewels – the only one Im not sure of is the goodwin games – though It has a big chance… FOX is investing in comedy……
Glee gets renewed for a 5th season. 6th – still up in the air – but this is a franchise for them now…. ratings don’t measn THAT much as long as they stay ok in their thursday time slot. This weeks episode, according to the creator, is “the best episode he’s ever written in his life” So, after this thursday, and the following week when 60 % of the fans get around to actually watching it, next thursday I expect an uptick.
Also, New Girl willg et renewed, Ben and Kate is the critical darling for them right now, The Mindy Project will gain legs through the season a bit, all 4, yes including raising hope, will get renewed, despite the ratings not being HUGE.. UNless they fall a whole ton.
Also, Fox will renew Bones for one more (finally on Fridays) season. AI and X factor will be back s well.
Can Anyone Please Tell me What The Series Low 18-49 Demo is for How I Met Your Mother???
Thanks
It maybe time for ABC to reduce DWTS to one tournament a season. The overall numbers and commercial load both look decent, but the show is becoming the 2012 version of “Matlock” — the program only Grandma watches.
Castle’s overall numbers are still strong enough that ABC will find a way to milk at least one more season. The show just started weekend syndication, and I have a feeling they want to get to “the magic 100″ before calling it a day.
Mob Doctor below Fringe…OUCH
I really wish Last Resort was on NBC and took Revolution’s timeslot
There’s no guarantee the numbers would be the same- entirely different premise (‘apocalypse shows’ are hot – government coup d’etat, treason, civil war may not be hot) very different tones, though Last REsort has only aired once, I think qualitatively Last Resort is a better show doesn’t mean it would pull the same numbers)
Problem is: ABC has nothing in their can to replace DWTS with, and besides with total viewership still high, even though their demographics isn’t what they want, there’s nothing they can do any better on for Mondays since The Voice is riding high that day.
Where are the naysayers who said that CBS shows would trump The Voice on Mondays at the official start of the season? I see no harm done. In fact, it’s the other way around!
Revolution will keep falling. It’s simply not a good show. 3.0 by next week. NBC will get excited and order the full season like they did with The Event, but it’ll be in the 1.6 range by season’s end.
OK FOX time to call it quits with The Mob Doctor. CBS you should probably pull Partners soon too.
TBBT repeats coming your way at 8:30!
Wasn’t “Lonestar” in the same time slot last year as “Mob Doctor” is now?

Puffing out your chest about ratings is less impressive than people no longer in college who get excited when USC beats UCLA
I expect another drop for HIMYM next week at last night’s episode was awful.
@Billy CBS’s lineup is ow rated because of a combination of no Two and a Half Men on Monday plus NBC’s powerhouse The Voice
