via press note:

Last Friday’s “Grimm” has increased its adult 18-49 rating by 1.14 points going from “live plus same day” ratings to “live plus three day” results from Nielsen Media Research (from a 1.58 to a 2.72). The 1.14 increase is “Grimm’s” biggest gain ever going from L+SD to L+3. The 2.72 is “Grimm’s” highest L+3 rating since the show’s second season premiere on Monday, Aug. 13.

Grimm’s” 2.72 in L+3 extends its lead over the time-period competition of Fox’s “Fringe” (1.66 in L+3), CBS’s “Made In Jersey” (1.22) and ABC’s “Last Resort” encore (1.13). “Grimm’s” margin of victory among those networks in L+SD was 44 percent (1.58 vs. 1.10 for “Made In Jersey”) and that advantage grew to 64 percent in L+3 (2.72 vs. 1.66 for “Fringe”).

L+SD ratings include live viewing and time-shifted viewing on the night of the initial airing, while L+3 adds in additional time-shifted viewing that occurs within three days of the live telecast.

not saying that it would happen, but I wonder what would happen if both Grimm/Revolution held up this season and we saw them on Wednesdays next fall with Revolution leading into Grimm.

if the numbers are this good, though, it should probably just keep anchoring Fridays.

I can easily see Revolution anchoring its own night next year but Grimm needs to stay on Fri. And to think so many people a year ago was writing this show off before it even premiered.

@senor chang…i think after testing it on monday (and a few weeks on thursday last season) they should just keep grimm on fridays…it’s a very solid performer there and hasn’t shown very little increases on other nights…

Last year I had to choose between Supernatural and Grimm on Fridays, with Supernatural winning. Since Supernatural was moved to Wednesday I can finally watch them both.

this is a great show. If its from the same writers who did Angel, which I also enjoyed. I think it will continue success. The key to its longevity is how things play out with the chief of police. Wish they would have kept mother Grimm around a little longer though, she’s was cool.
