CNBC is drilling the Labor Secretary. NBC is going to fire them
CNBC is there a danger when the people do not believe your numbers.

The number of employed Americans comes from a government survey of 60,000 households that determines the unemployment rate. The government asks a series of questions, by phone or in person. For example:
@Doug Z
My kid does math everyday, and the way these numbers are looking? I pray she never works for the Government, they are not adding up. I’m waiting for the Dept of labor to release the charts, for some reason it’s eh… delayed
Wonder if they will release them say about 5pm right beofre the weekend?
If this is the new standard to figure the numbers? They need to throw it away.
USA Population Jan 2009: 305,529,237
Number of people employed in January 2009: 142,099,000
USA Population April 2012: 313,176,891
Number of people employed in April 2012: 141,865,000
Oh well, ain’t nothing we can de excpet vote I rekon. No sense in losing sleep over it. BBL…
My daughter is grabbing me to finsih her work
Be back soon
We will know next week. If they are revised which they always are Paul Ryan will have a field day with that in the debate.
@Mark2
Now with just limiting deduction, companies like “GE” will not pay ZERO in taxes in 2014. That is a fact Jack…..
Just maybe the reason Obama did not go there in the debate is because Romney could of used that back at him. We all know who is on Obama’s Jobs board is…….
the fact that only 114,000 jobs were created in September, fewer than in previous months
@ Doug Z & Coffee Steve
If this statement is true “The number of employed Americans comes from a government survey of 60,000 households that determines the unemployment rate. The government asks a series of questions, by phone or in person.”
How the He11 then do you get a 470,000 +/- jobs increase from a household survey ?

@Mark2
Mark does not get up before moon
Ibsles the fact that only 114,000 jobs were created in September, fewer than in previous months
Ibsles where did you get that name.
Limbaugh called this right 6 months ago….to be expected. 7.8% is still like whipped cream on sh1t…would have to be 6.0% or lower in a good economy.
The number of people with part-time jobs who wanted full-time work rose 7.5 percent to 8.6 million.”

140,000 people join the labor market per month. 114,000 jobs were added. Unemployment rate went DOWN???? Only one answer: More people STOPPED looking for work. This is NOT GOOD people, don’t be swayed by the manipulation of numbers
Noticed the participation rate was not released
For the number to drop 3/10$ more people would give up looking.
For the sake of argument let’s assume the 7.9 is correct and these are seasonal jobs, that would mean we can expect over 8$ comes Feb when the Jan number comes out.
There seems to be a wee bit of discrepancy in the jobs numbers. ABC News is reporting that the unemployment rate went up. ABC News is reporting the jobless rate went down. The San Fransisco Chronicle, that newspaper of record in that conservative hotbed on the left coast is reporting that the unemployment rate rose.
Jeff and Mark read the San Fransisco Chronicle.
Doug Z wrote: “CNBC is there a danger when the people do not believe your numbers.”
7.8% unemployment rate is great news but I’m afraid it is as believable as if Bush had announced that WMDs were found in Iraq.

Good point, Bush and BHO are the same.+I am glad I know who is going to win Missouri so I can vote for Gary Johnson.
Bush = BHO, very good point. Get rid of both forever.
