"SEAL TEAM SIX: THE RAID ON OSAMA BIN LADEN":
AMERICA’S VERY FIRST LOOK AT THE REAL STORY BEHIND THE HISTORIC MANHUNT AND RAID THAT TOOK DOWN AL-QAEDA’S NOTORIOUS LEADER
MUST-SEE BLOCKBUSTER EXCLUSIVELY WORLD PREMIERES ON THE NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC CHANNEL SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 4
Event Marks NGC’s First Original Broadcast of a Feature Film Inspired by Real-Life Events
For immediate release:
Just a year and a half after President Obama ordered the raid that ended the longest manhunt in American history and took down al-Qaeda’s notorious leader, Americans for the first time in a full length feature film can see how it all went down in SEAL TEAM SIX: THE RAID ON OSAMA BIN LADEN. Directed by John Stockwell, the film will exclusively world premiere on the National Geographic Channel (NGC) on Sunday, November 4. The official trailer debuted today on Yahoo http://tv.yahoo.com/.
Produced by the Academy Award-winning producer of THE HURT LOCKER Nicolas Chartier and distributed by The Weinstein Company, then film marks NGC’s first broadcast of a feature inspired by real-life events.
From The Weinstein Company and John Stockwell, the director of INTO THE BLUE, TURISTAS and CRAZY/BEAUTIFUL, the film stars Cam Gigandet, Anson Mount, Freddy Rodriquez, Xzibit, Kathleen Robertson, Eddie Kay Thomas and Kenneth Miller, with Robert Knepper and William Fichtner.
The events portrayed in the film were vetted by a team of experts including a recently retired Navy Seal, a top CIA operative and one of the most renowned bin Laden historians. While some aspects of the characterizations have been dramatized for creative reasons, the core story is an accurate portrayal of an event that ended the longest manhunt in America history.

    Will it beat the Hatfields & Mcorys that was on the History channel? I say no. Hatfields & Mcorys averaged 13,760.

  • Richard Steven Hack

    I can’t wait for the analysis by people who know better… This has got to be THE propaganda film of the decade… The unanswered questions obviously will remain unanswered…by the producers and Obama…

  • ANDRE THE PATRIOT

    Richard what did you think of that 2016 movie? That was hugggeeeeeee propaganda

    Hope our embassies around the world batten down the hatches!

    @City Kitty

    Ditto!

  • E.A. Keenan

    It is totally despicable of National Geographic channel and Weinstein to show this about the killing of bin Laden not only because it must be politically driven knowing the support by Weinstein of President Obama and how the insignificant film about Islam was said to be part of the reason for rioting and killing in Libya, Egypt and other places! Do all the people responsible for this decision not care about the effects both on the Presidential election and how people who see bin Laden as a hero might react?

    As of 1:30pm on Monday this has only 19 likes, 4 tweets and 6 comments. I guess not many people watched this “Block Buster.” And/or it was nothing to write home about. To answer your question E.A. Keenan, Yes they do care how it effects the election. But I don’t think it had the effect they were wanting (Help for Obama) and no they don’t care about the Bin Laden worshipers, this is the same administration that locked up the so-called YouTube video guy while they gave unprecedented access to the White House and other items/documents to the producers of this movie. Kind of hypocritical don’t you think?
