Supernatural did good with a so bad lead-in. Hope it’ll continue like that !
Ouch for that thing with the monkey in it.
That monkey needs to get back to Community, stat.
Supernatural at .8 is fine. They obviously didn’t loose viewers from last year and Arrow can only help. Still trying to determine what (if any) effect New York’s Cablevision problem could’ve had on the CW this week. Anybody?
AP and Neighbors looks pretty bad as AP got a 1.3 and Neighbors already slipped under 2 and The Middle looks weaker this season.
GWK actually doesn’t look too bad it still ended up with the same 1.6 it got last week and grew in viewers out of AP and from last week. So the news is still positive for GWK despite the drop.
@Bill Gorman
Same principle as Partners vs Vegas on CBS. Similar ratings, yet you’ve marked one as certain cancellation and the other as a likely renewal on the renew/cancel index.
Or are you playing Fan Excuse Bingo?
“You misunderstand me. I meant people probably tuned into the networks early to watch the debate and caught the end of the sitcoms.”
No, I understood you completely, there was misunderstanding, but it wasn’t me.
Your guess didn’t cause the adjustment, because folks “tuning in early” isn’t something that gets “corrected” in the adjustments.
The preliminary ratings measure what was watched in that time period, NOT THE SHOW ITSELF. In the Pacific and Mountain timezones the 8pm hour was the debates. When that viewing was removed and the later viewing of the sitcoms added back, the result was likely what caused the adjustment.
I expected Supernatural to do better. 0.8 for a season premiere seems kinda low.
The Neighbors premiered at 3.2 and it’s second week, it’s down to a 1.9?
That’s pretty damn bad, like Pan AM bad. But to be fair to Pan AM, it took two weeks to get that low, the Neighbors just came out last week!
“Same principle as Partners vs Vegas on CBS. Similar ratings, yet you’ve marked one as certain cancellation and the other as a likely renewal on the renew/cancel index.”
As I note, I base my predictions on factors I understand that aren’t captured by the ratings.
CBS always cancels its lowest rated sitcom, Partners is its lowest rated sitcom. It will be canceled.
Bingo. And not Fan Excuse Bingo.
And, next week, Vegas is likely to drop to “toss up”, but I will wait and see the rest of the week’s ratings first.
Yeah. If anything ABC should of been wary of the responses from critics in regards to The Neighbors. Someone messed up giving it a full season from the Pilot response.
happy survivor stayed in the 3′s…
Was hoping for an upward adjustment for Supernatural, but I’m okay with it at 0.8. Expecting it to hit at least 0.9 next week.
I was ready to retire the Whitney to Wednesdays at 8pm talk but now its unretired again with that 1.3 for Animal Practice. Guys with Kids still looks rock solid only a point away beating New Normal.
These ratings are dismal, the only bright spot was The X Factor and Survivor!
That’s a 41% drop for The Neighbors. When was the last time that happened?
I was Middle will get an uptick
Glad for Survivor Philippines
X Factor while still not meeting expectations is doing fine for FOX considering how their other shows are struggling now
Aww man I was hoping Guys With Kids would adjust up especially since Neighbors Adjustes down so they could have the same rating and I could really laugh at ABC for airing such a dumb show and running off Happy Endings and Cougar Town off their Wednesday schedule
Well I guess I can still laugh cause Neighbors is definitely failing right now HAHA!
“That’s a 41% drop for The Neighbors. When was the last time that happened?”
The last time a rookie show followed a networks highest rated show in its first episode, and then moved to another timeslot in its second?
@Bill Gorman
You misunderstand me.
I’m not talking about Nielsen’s adjustments. I am saying many people will have tuned into the debate early, caught the end of Guys With Kids boosting its numbers, and those viewers won’t return next week. These make GWK appear stronger than it is because it had many one-off viewers.
Similar to how the last quarter hour of Last Resort was likely inflated by Grey’s.
