   @Doug Z, green energy, pollution, carbon foot prints, melting polar caps….. It’s all science, so I will give you righties a pass on that one. Remember the earth is only 10,000 years old by your “scientific” beliefs. I just wish the Egyptians didn’t kill all the dinosaurs, they would of made great pets.

   High fuel prices, food, electric bills are strangling the working poor in “Smallville.” Keep your government health care, your food stamps and your global warming. People in Smallville need relief from big government and the Earth is God wackos. Calling people that make 12 to 15 bucks an hour Smallville is a very elitist thing to do. People in Smallville don’t need limousine liberals to feed and diaper us. Just drill a few oil wells on government land, use the coal energy, build a nuke plant if you have to. Please stick your da#n global warming where the sun don’t…If world comes to end from global warming we here in Smallville will take our chances.

   How is Our Foreign Policy Working Out ?

   Our President said not too long ago while on the ground in Afghanistan.We’ve built strong Afghan Security Forces. We devastated al Qaeda’s leadership. The goal that I set – to defeat al Qaeda, and deny it a chance to rebuild – is within reach.

   This was only 5 months ago. Now, the Taliban has NOT been broken. They destroyed 6 USMC jets in their attack on Camp Bastion “Which Was Our Worst Air Loss Since Vietnam.” The “strong” Afghan Security forces are killing coalition troops instead of the Taliban. And the goal of defeating al Qaeda and denying it a chance to rebuild? First, an al Qaeda unit successfully assaulted American soil for the first time since 9/11. Second, we were — once again — caught by surprise, and third, the attacks show that al Qaeda is not just alive and kicking , but that our current strategy for dealing with the group is failing.

   Instead of a dictator , but, ally , we now have the Muslim Brotherhood regime of Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi, who just approved Sharia law for the country.

   The lives of U.S. Ambassador Chris Stephens and three other Americans have been lost, documents compromised , & the embassy trashed.

   Anti-American demonstrations and intense clashes with police broke out at U.S. embassies and businesses in Sudan, Egypt, Yemen, Nigeria , Lebanon,Bangladesh , India, among others and unrest in Syria, Iraq, Pakistan, Turkey, Kashmir, Qatar, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Indonesia, Algeria ,Somalia, Morocco, Tunisia Sri Lanka, Jordon , and Jerusalem. I’m sure there were more countries, but, that’s all I can remember.

   Most of these countries were trampling & burning the American flag, & , some of our embassies had the black terrorist flag flying in place of ours.

   In Egypt, & other countries ,the protesters chanted ‘Obama, Obama, we are all Osamas’

   The US foreign policy doesn’t have much to show for itself. Thank you, Google translator….. even in Russia , we are now looked at as weak.

   He DID do one thing though that offers great insight as to where we are going as a country. He identified himeself with our up and coming citzens striving to educated themselves as to the wonderous workings of our system and government by signing up for additional classes………………….following Snoop Dog on twitter!

   One more thing, I did get some time to start reading Killing Kennnedy(9) last night. Hard to put it down once you start so I stayed up too late reading! I am reading this one slow to try to get most of it the first time. I have already learned a lot of new stuff and I have hardly dented the book!

   You can HATE OReilly and still LOVE this book as well as Killing Lincoln(986)

THE IRAQ GOVERMENT VOTED US BECAUSE WE WOULD NOT GIVE THEM THE RIGHT TO PUT OUR SOLDIERS ON TRIAL ACCORDING TO THERE LAW IE: NO SOFA AGREEMENT. NOW I UNDERSTAND THE IDEA ABOUT OBAMA CARE AND I LIKE IT, BUT MY QUESTION AND EVERY BODY SHOULD ASK THIS QUESTION IF ITS SO GOOD FOR US WHY ISNT GOOD ENOUGH FOR CONGRES, SENATE AND THE EXECETIVE BRANCH THERE EXEMPT FROM OBAMA CARE. PEOPLE I AM NEITHER BLUE OR RED I TEACH MY CHILDREN IN THIS DAY AND AGE TO VOTE FOR THE PERSON AND THERE RECORD AND IN THIS DAY AND AGE OF COMPUTERS AND TECH WE SHOULD DO THIS SO WE CAN MAKE OUR OWN INFORMED DECISION. JUST A THOUGHT.

   @S.Papa your “lets take our chances” remark is like what a person does when they strap a bomb to their body and walk into a crowded area, and think it will all be better soon and “oh well” for the ones I leave behind.. Your notions of leaving your children and grandchildren a horrible world to live in (but only care about leaving no debt) are straight out of the Fox News propaganda outhouse.

    Obama Administration Withdrew 16 Member Special Forces Team From Libya One Month Before Attack

    The Obama State Department withdrew a 16 member special forces team from Benghazi one month before the deadly attacks on 9-11. Lt. Col. Andy Wood was the leader of the 16 member special forces team whose job it was to protect US personnel in Libya. His team’s mission ended in August a month before the deadly Al-Qaeda attack on 9-11.

    A six member mobile security team was also withdrawn around the same time. This was despite the fact that there were over a dozen attacks in the country this year.

    Lt. Col. Wood was subpoenaed to appear at a House committee hearing this coming week. Wood told CBS News it was unbelievable to him that the State Department withdrew security when they did because of the 13 security incidents before 9-11.

    Militants even videotaped Ambassador Chris Stevens on his morning runs outside the wall — and threatened to kill him.

    Remember, the state department did issue a warning in August cautioning travellers to avoid Benghazi and Tripoli due to increased threats of assassinations and bombings.

    ….the “hearing on Oct 10th will examine the state of security at the U.S. Embassy and Consulate in Libya prior to the assassination of Ambassador Christopher Stevens and his colleagues on September 11 , 2012. Witnesses should be prepared to provide a five-minute opening statement and answer questions posed by Members.”

    One of our sons was going to run the Chicago marathon today . He’s there , but, on crutches, & my nephew is in the wheel chair marathon…. he’s going to Japan to be in one soon. All I do is pedal my exercise bike.

    Good afternoon all,

    The crisis is different from any since Reagan. This problem has more to do with unemployment rather than inflation. I’m glad that the Fed acknowledges this truth. We really need a paradigm shift if we don’t want to continue with financial crisis after crisis into the future. I guess that is another topic for another day.

    The previous poll, conducted on September 20 among 842 likely voters, had Obama leading with 52% and Romney at 45%. Two weeks later and after the first presidential debate, Obama has dropped to 49% while Romney increased his vote share to 47%

    @Matthew – “In fairness to Reagan, that 10.8% employment figure had nothing to do with any legislation he signed, or any executive actions he took; he’s just the guy that happened to be in the Oval Office at that moment in history. The early 80s spike in unemployment and slowing of GDP growth was due to a global recession that was induced by the Federal Reserve, as they imposed high interest rates to get inflation under control.

    The same thing could be said in Obama’s case. Except that Obama was handed an even worse situation than Reagan. But keep in mind that Reagan’s 10.8% unemployment rate was after being in the oval office for a whole 2 years, so he can’t blame that on Carter, that’s on him.

    Yeah, I like how Rat attacked you about getting educated and for following an entertainer (Snoop Dog) on Twitter. Yet Rat is reading a book by an entertainer (Bill Oreilly) and is actually thinking he’s learning something. That whole paragraph from Ratboy just makes my whole head spin.
