    @ Letmethink

glad to hear the wedding went off without a hitch! You relax and enjoy the after glow of that happiness!

  • Ratboy

@ And you can bet the right will spin it like it’s the greatest Foreign Policy speech ever and absolutely nothing is wrong with it. Your point?

I am not so sure about that. There have been quite a few on the right that have hammered Romney for not gibving this speech earlier and are critical of how he delivers that message. I dont think they doubt his stance but they DONT like how and when he is putting it out there.

  • Mark

I just wonder what stances Romney will do 180s on in terms of foreign policy

-increasing defense budget because heaven forbid it’s only higher then the next 14 countries combined(we should be closer to top 20)
-hawkish view on bombing Iran(ie will he tone down the Rhetoric)
    -Palestine people aren’t important/committed to Israel’s destruction
-tough stance on trade with China(although this is not a case of practicing what you preach) and he has already flip flopped on this from a few years back, so I guess you can say no matter what side of this he takes a stand on he previously held that viewpoint

  • d.d

    Good morning everyone.

Letmethink, holding a wedding for a child is exhausting. Glad it went well.

Coffee, don’t envy you one bit, &, you guys insulting each other, stop it.

Libya continues to be headlines in the MSM. ABC News today has a headline exclusive & I’m just reading CBS:

    Ex-team leader: State ignored pleas

Former head of U.S. “Site Security Team” claims Libya Embassy staff wanted more personnel, but were told “to do with less”

The White House Disinformation Campaign on Libya

  • Letmethink

    Thanks Ratboy,
My son found a great and funny girl. Her vow to him was something like I promise to: and she said a lot of touching things she promised to be and to do. Then she said, I probably won’t cook a lot. I have to be honest with you–you just need to know. She had everyone laughing the entire time. It was so much fun.
Someone mentioned Boss. I haven’t been on much and didn’t see his posts when I looked back. Is he OK? How is his mom doing?
The foreign investments in the election is scary and there is only one reason for them to invest in the American election.

  • Letmethink

Thanks d.d.–yes it is and I didn’t do nearly as much as the bride’s family. I can’t imagine how tired they are now. It was special and beautiful. I am still smiling. The newly weds are off to Key West for a week and I know they need it and will enjoy it.
I hope the entire story about the Libyan debacle will come out. I feel so much sympathy for the families who lost their loved ones there. It is looking as if it could have/should have been avoided.

    The Lefties

The Chicago political machine is out in full force calling Romney a liar. Those god awful flunkies Gibbs and Axelrod are running around making excuses and hurling insults.

This from an Administration that ran around for a week trying to cover up the deaths of a U. S. Ambassador and three others on 9/11.

The President was to busy running around doing celeb. interviews and being eye candy on The View to pay attention to the pleas of our people in Libya.

President Obama is the Paris Hilton of Presidents.

Bombshell: Obama.com Owned by Bundler in Shanghai with Business Ties to Chinese Government

In an explosive report set to send shockwaves through official Washington, the Government Accountability Institute (GAI) released a 108-page GAI investigation into the threat of foreign and fraudulent Internet campaign donations in U.S. federal elections (visit campaignfundingrisks.com to download the full report).

An advance copy of the bombshell report which reveals that the Obama.com website is not owned by the president’s campaign but rather by Obama bundler Robert Roche, a U.S. citizen living in Shanghai, China. Roche is the chairman of a Chinese infomercial company, Acorn International, with ties to state-controlled banks that allow it to “gain revenue through credit card transactions with Chinese banks.”

There is quite a bit of information to digest & I recommend you download the full report if you distrust this source.

Lol I am just watching Chuck Todd, they have Romney foreign policy adviser Richard Williamson(who is a former Bush foreign policy adviser as well) who can’t answer a direct question

Every Question was how does Romney feel about i(fill in any issue), and every answer is Obama failed and Romney will fix that without any specifics how any stance Romney has. I think this basically sums up what to expect today(no substance to what Mitt believes just somehow he will magically do a better job then Obama)

I really hope Romney gets drilled by the media for having 17 Bush foreign policy advisers(which just scares the hell out of me)

  • sunshine

    @ Mark

I think you should be scared about the hearings about Libya this week and by the link d.d. just posted before worrying about Bushes foreign advisors.

  • Ratboy

@ I think this basically sums up what to expect today(no substance to what Mitt believes just somehow he will magically do a better job then Obama

I dont think it will tke much magic to do better than Obama since the world is burning under his watch!………….. That DAMN video!!!

  • Mark

Under Bush we had way more embassies attacked(12) then under Obama, but somehow Obama is the worst president when it comes to foreigners attacking our embassies.

  • Mark

As for Bush’s foreign policy advisers, these are the same guys who have been pushing to go to war with Iran(much like they wanted to go to war with Iraq for misguided reasons) since 2006 but because their was such a negative feelings towards going to war it was sort of put on hold. I fear if Romney wins the US will find any stupid excuse to declare war on Iran and come up with another lie like Weapons of Mass Destruction.

  • Mark

I should point out if somebody is a true fiscal conservative(which I don’t believe the republicans are as much as they try to claim they are), going to war with Iran or even putting more money in defense is not the way to do it

  • Mark

Republicans constantly bitch about the debt(which I believe is a fair argument), do they realize over half of it(and probably closer to 10T) was spent on military/defense spending over the past 35 years? Basically make up your mind, you either want to fight the dept or go around the world beating your chest like you somehow have the right to tell other people how to live via using force.

  • Ratboy

And you wonder why chicago is going to get ugly!!!!!

POLL: Romney leads among independents 51-35…

‘Enthusiasm’ gap 13-point spread for Republican…

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows Mitt Romney and President Obama each attracting support from 48% of voters nationwide. Two percent (2%) prefer some other candidate, and three percent (3%) are undecided.

While there have been modest swings in recent months that have favored one candidate over the other, the overall picture is of a race that is both stable and very close. Over the past 100 days of tracking, Romney and Obama have been within two points of each other 72 times. Additionally, on 89 of those 100 days, the candidates have been within three points of each other. That is exceedingly close in a poll with a three percentage-point margin of error.

Princeton Economist: Obama Campaign Is Misrepresenting My Study on Romney’s Tax Plan

Last night, the Obama campaign blasted out another email claiming that Mitt Romney’s tax plan would either require raising taxes on the middle class or blowing a hole in the deficit. “Even the studies that Romney has cited to claim his plan adds up still show he would need to raise middle-class taxes,” said the Obama campaign press release. “In fact, Harvard economist Martin Feldstein and Princeton economist Harvey Rosen both concede that paying for Romney’s tax cuts would require large tax increases on families making between $100,000 and $200,000.”

But that’s not true. Princeton professor Harvey Rosen tells THE WEEKLY STANDARD in an email that the Obama campaign is misrepresenting his paper on Romney’s tax plan:

I can’t tell exactly how the Obama campaign reached that characterization of my work. It might be that they assume that Governor Romney wants to keep the taxes from the Affordable Care Act in place, despite the fact that the Governor has called for its complete repeal. The main conclusion of my study is that under plausible assumptions, a proposal along the lines suggested by Governor Romney can both be revenue neutral and keep the net tax burden on taxpayers with incomes above $200,000 about the same. That is, an increase in the tax burden on lower and middle income individuals is not required in order to make the overall plan revenue neutral.

  • Mark

By the way I was wrong saying that Defense Spending was roughly 8-10T over the past 32 years.

    It’s 14.2T

But hey we need to cut the debt but increase defense spending right

  • dana

Shovel ready jobs were….not so shovel ready, you can keep your doctor if you want…your doctor under obamacare will not keep you though, the attack on our libyan embassy wasnt planned…yes it was, didnt cut 750 million from medicare…yes you did, you dont raise taxes during economic softness…the cliff is approaching, i will bring this nation together…most partisan pres. ever, ……AND ROMNEY IS A LIAR? Hmmm

  • Jeff

My Fictitious meetings? Again I am afraid you are commenting out of ignorance, and self serving convenience. You are also cherry picking parts of the exchanges that suit your current momentary fixations. Which indicates, your inability to attend such a meeting you proclaim to have such a vast in-depth knowledge of, or what a HIGH LEVEL business meeting SHOULD be about according to the book of PaulG. But, just like a few other man-child individuals that claim to know who and what everyone does and does not do in their personal & professional lives, you loose credibility and your argument. Your claims are invalid on so many levels.
