   Important to note: Jersey Shore was a 2-hour premiere. The 11pm episode is brand-new, not a repeat of 10pm.

   “It disappoints me that so many people are willing to watch Jersey Shore, but they won’t watch more GOOD, quality television like MTV’s own Awkward or ABC’s Last Resort.”

   Who is to say people don’t watch both? I watch Jersey here and there but also watch Parks & Rec.

   Looking down on Jersey is liking looking down on people for eating a chocolate bar for a snack. It’s the best food for them, but it’s a treat.

   “The season premiere of Jersey Shore came in second with a 2.5 adults 18-49 rating, way down from a 4.0 for its season 5 premiere on January 5, 2012.” Technically it was a 2.4 if you combine both premiere hours.

   2.5 for Jersey Shore finally way off from previous seasons! Final season, so don’t let the door slap your behind on the way out.

   Ties Elementary this week & hopefully will lose from here on in.

   Jersey shore did ok but rating are down from season 5 premiere. Low ratings for a show that had a 7 day marathon. Ratings is extremely down and last night episode was very boring

   Why are people saying the NFL did bad? Anybody who knows anything about football knows the cardinals and rams aren’t exactly a must watch game. If cardinals rams was on ESPN it would have done over 10 million viewers. Jersey shore is going down yes way down from season 5′s premiere and it will soon be doing less than 4 million viewers each week, they should change the title from Jersey shore to Jersey bore cause that’s what it’s become. Oh and pathetic numbers for tna impact.

   Real Housewives of Miami should be moved to another night. Thursdays at 8pm are way too competitive for a series that struggled in the first season. This season is much better and has potential to catch on with the right night.

    I’m surprised Jersey Shore premiered that high. I haven’t seen or heard much as far as promotion goes especially considering its the final season.

    RHOM is struggling. Those numbers are horrible and its been dropping week to week. Thursdays at 9 is such a competitive time slot and it shows.

    It’s so weird that RHOM isn’t catching on. Considering all the drama that’s going on with some of the women (post-filming). Joana Krupa-hooker allegations, Alexia’s son hitting a poor man in the street, etc.

    RHOM is so good its better than NJ and all the other series, im shocked its not picking up they should move it to Tuesday nights

    RHOM is as good or better than the others. Maybe a time change would help. Hope they put an effort into making it work

    @iMember – I watch Jersey Shore (and a lot of other trashy TV shows), but that doesn’t make me stupid or less inclined to watch “quality” shows. In fact, I watch both shows you mentioned in your comment. Just because someone enjoys some campy craziness doesn’t mean that same person can’t enjoy a well-crafted series also.

    I also enjoy the Real Housewives of Miami and hate see them struggling ratings wise with all the drama going on this season. I agree that it should be moved to another night because Thursday night at 9 is really tough to compete with so many other popular shows.

    Perhaps it is about time to deep-six Project Runway. Does anybody watch it anymore? The move from Bravo has taken all the steam out of it.
