@Scandalfan
Sorry but 2.0 rating at a 10pm time slot is not a bad rating
But it’s not good either. And in Scandal’s case, it should be getting higher than a 2 because of its monster lead-in, almost double that of Castle and Private Practice, the only ABC 10 pm shows it’s beating. So for Scandal, a 2.0 is not bad, but still mediocre.
Look at the crap number of Scandal. What a lead-in waste
A 2.0 rating puts scandal at risk if it drops anything below then its dead
Having toured a US Navy Nuclear Sub, I can say with knowledge that Last Resort scenes aboard the fictional sub are too spacious. For instance, the Captains quarters are the size of a closet(Literally)!
Scandal would be a nice summer series, but not for the fall TV season.
As long as people keep watching Shondra’s slop and buy that these people know anything about medicine, she is going to continue to get these other shows on the air. It’s a sneeze away from reality shows.
Question –
How influential are non-Nielsen revenues to a network? Specifically, I’m a big fan of Last Resort. I’ve noticed that the second episode is consistently the second-most sold TV episode on iTunes. How does this sort of revenue compare to ad revenue to ABC, to the extent that it effects their programming decisions?
I love the fact that Big Bang crushes X Factor. Gives me hope for humanity.
iTunes is pennies to the millions Nielsen revenues generate for them.
Yes, LJ, it’s great that socially-retarded future-Unabombers crush singers. And Sheldon kissing girls is entertaining.
The key words are “fictional sub.”
Put the Mentalist back on Thursday! Elementary sucks!
I just wish they’d put Last Resort at 10pm and on any other night except thursdays! Pairing it opposite TBBT and TAHM is a terrible idea! Thats just killing a show which can actually have a huge potential!
POI rated down b/c it was 2nd half of two-parter. Not crazy about new character. POI does not need her as a recurring villain. Hopes she stays out for awhile.
Last Resort will have to get to the hook pretty quick to keep its viewership.
So why is almost 7 million viewers considered bad ratings? Scandal is the best tv show on television right now. It’s too bad it isn’t advertised enough/as much as the other ABC nighttime soaps.
I think this rating is not fair. just look at Person Of Interest’s rating and Elementary’s.
I “HATE” Nielsen TV Ratings
